Aww, I like the bromance moments between Cale and Joel. I read in other spots that there's quite a few hidden places you can build stuff that's not on the map. I like the duped shack.

It really depends on how you want to move forward with Savannah. D.J. has the trait of Loves Outdoors. So, he's most likely just going to save his part time job simoleons. Plus I have ideas and plans for when he heads to Windenburg next month. So he needs to save all the money he can. But what do you want for Savannah? Invest her simoleons into a hobby maybe? Or use it to make more simoleons....like a garden or something of that nature?
