Started sims 3, long to boot (though the SSD help). And it's so ugly !! Note to myself : don't let the nvidia software "optimize" the sims 3 graphic setting ever again. Totally screwed them up !

Out of the box, it's laggy.
Open world obviously take more process power (that's a fact).
But some stuff in TS3 lacks optimization as well.

I hardly started ts3 since i have ts4. Can't stand the long loading times :(

A company shouldn't rely on mods. They should fix it themselves.

I completely agree, but what are you gonna do. It's the same case with TS4, too.

I haven't used mods for any of my sims games. I have less issues with 4.

By mods I meant the one that fixes the aging glitch, since EA apparently didn't bother to do so.

Oh. I still haven't seen it. But then, I just play the game.

Same with other players out there. Believe it or not, there might even be a simmer who has never experienced glitches, lag, and crashes in SIms 3. Glitches don't define a game. It's the content the game has to offer.

Nothing to offer? How do you even explain open world? It's one major content that sparked a lot of simmers.

Okay. Let's breakdown the improvement of interactions of Sims game.

• TS1 was only able to reproduce through kissing.
  
• TS2 now included woohoo as a form of reproducing as technology improves. More interactions as well.
  

But since almost all the needed interactions have already been implemented for Sims 2. There could be only a few more interactions to be added for the future games.
However EA has decided to make it child-friendly.

• They got rid of the raunchy animation from Sims 2's makeout interaction
  
• Same thing happened to both Sims 3 and 4.
  

Ugly? But like I said, take a look at the sims in TS1, TS2, TS3 and TS4. Compare how they begin to improve per new game.

I hate that they made it child friendly. I love the couch make-out in Sims 2 :( I miss it when the game was more geared towards the older generation that 12 year-olds .

So 4 years after the conception of sims 3, they got to swim in the oceans. Unfortunately, that was at the end of the S3 run.
