@Qnshr5 - The length of the challenge depends on how fast you can complete the date and become boyfriend/girlfriend with a sim with a conflicting trait, and complete an aspiration in each world. Some aspirations are easier than others and won't take long to complete (Leader of the Pack is pretty easy I find). So, in some worlds you may only be there for a week, others may take a month. A sim week or a sim month, or depending how often you play, might take a real life month. I hope that answers the question.
@SoulGal7 Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering because it says you'll be a teen for 3 months and I wasn't sure if that was a rule or not. But your explanation makes sense.
