Optional Auto Save

I was thinking since the games been crashing since the latest patch it would be very useful if we had an auto save feature in game, there's nothing more annoying than playing for hours and then losing everything as the game crashed and you forgot to save. Obviously this current crashing issue will (hopefully) be fixed asap, but there's gonna be other issues in future and there already is other things in game which cause crashes.

If we had an optional auto save option so the game just saves autonomously every 20 minutes that would be so helpful, and then if the game ever does crash for whatever reason you can just go back to where you were without losing any progress. I always forget to save and I know a lot of others are the same so this would be so useful rather than having to lose an entire days progress

Obviously this would be optional, if you don't want it you could just turn it off in settings and nothing would have to change.

I also thought that if anything happens that you don't want saved, they could create a system so you can access the most recent 3 saves. They actually already do this, the game saves five different versions of every save, you just can't access the older saves at current. It would take no extra storage space, and then if anything happens you can just send your game back 20 minutes to before it happened!

  • Yall I said optional. If you don't ever experience crashes and prefer to save manually then you can turn it off and nothing will have to change, this is just for those who like me have lost a lot of play from forgetting to save and the game then crashing.

For me I'd like to just be able to play the game without having to worry about saving regularly or losing all my progress. Pretty much every other game has an auto save feature so I see no reason why the Sims shouldn't have it as an optional thing.

This would make a lot of saves and make it difficult for people who currently play more that 1 save. It would take up so much computer space and the new computers don't come with a lot of space.

With regards to your comment about it taking up space, the game actually already saves multiple versions of every save. Every save in my folder has 5 different versions, you just can't access the older versions.
