Optional Auto Save
I was thinking since the games been crashing since the latest patch it would be very useful if we had an auto save feature in game, there's nothing more annoying than playing for hours and then losing...

Yall I said optional. If you don't ever experience crashes and prefer to save manually then you can turn it off and nothing will have to change, this is just for those who like me have lost a lot of play from forgetting to save and the game then crashing.
For me I'd like to just be able to play the game without having to worry about saving regularly or losing all my progress. Pretty much every other game has an auto save feature so I see no reason why the Sims shouldn't have it as an optional thing.
With regards to your comment about it taking up space, the game actually already saves multiple versions of every save. Every save in my folder has 5 different versions, you just can't access the older versions.

This would make a lot of saves and make it difficult for people who currently play more that 1 save. It would take up so much computer space and the new computers don't come with a lot of space.
