Question

If you like throwing your sims parties, imagine being able to make it your sim’s career! The benefits to being able to do this could help impact your game such as a birthday party could age an NPC or a wedding could marry off two sims you have been wanting them to tie the knot, without having to play them yourself or add them to an active household.

For example, I currently have a housekeeper and a nanny in my employment whom I’ve been able to convince to date, but a wedding planner could get them hitched officially! Other new party options could be a baby shower for newly born or unborn babies. This could theoretically be made in a way to get sims to become pregnant and have a baby without playing them. A high school or college graduation party to age sims up to the next level. This could have a major impact on your saves progression being able to take some kind of control over the world in a fun and entertaining way, or give more party options to also add to your own household whether your sim is in the new career or not.

please share any ideas to add to this if you like the idea of a Party Planner game pack!

I like this idea. The party planner could have their own venue where to host parties, or rent elsewhere. They would get to decorate according to the party requirements, something like dream home decorators, but they will also need to organize catering and entertainment and pictures. Wedding parties, birthday parties, engagement parties, surprise parties, baby showers, etc. They would be given a budget and have a list of items they need to prepare. Would be great if they could chose the NPCs to show up, bartender, cook, entertainer, chose menu and music and drinks to be served.

I agree that something like this is needed. While we can send sims to different venues, the basic wedding is always very similar. I think that weddings should be more customizable with different types of services and more personalization. I agree that they could upgrade other types of parties as well. Since I know they are focusing a lot on representation, wedding services could be more tailored to any sims seeking a wedding.

From relaxed beach weddings to a lot of dancing, more traditional, rustic chic, downtown hip, etc, there are a lot of differences between types of ceremonies. While we can do some of it now, we need a lot of upgrades to romance and weddings are currently lacking details.

Another idea I just had is that this could totally work with cross pack content as well. if your sim is a florist, decorator, photographer, painter, musician or singer, they could be asked to contribute their work for a party and get special rewards for doing a great job. If you have Seasons, you could be asked to throw a holiday party or if you have University, maybe you would be asked to throw a rocking keg party or a kava party if you have Island Living!
Some of the party types, I admit, I rarely utilize in my own sim families, but with a new career, it could get my sims to experience all types of parties on a regular basis.

both those ideas are great. A new party venue lot type you can build and customize, Maybe a new world with pre-built lots for various parties, but beach parties in Sulani or college parties in Britchester would be ideal as well. I could even see parties being able to be thrown in non lots as well, like how the game runs festivals in the squares.

I know A LOT of simmers out there would kill for a wedding themed pack or expansion, and while this could be a major feature, also being able to throw all types of parties would please just about anyone, not just those dreaming of wedding stuff. A pack like this could have so much potential for new objects, CAS options and lot types

Love this idea. I would also love it if sometimes the clients would call and request a last minute addition. Or if like a bride or groom would call saying they're unsure about getting married and they're not sure whether or not to cancel the wedding. Also there could be like drama you would have to sort out the day of the event, boosting friendships, romance, and triggering chances for other events that you might have to plan. It would bring more story progression and drama to the game.
