I'm tired of all of my Sims friends coming over just to sit on the computer. So a password "lock" would be nice, just like locking the door. Such as options of making it available for one Sim or the family ect.. I'm suggesting this because some of my sims live in tiny houses or have comps in rooms without doors to lock. Or I want them to hang out in the room with the computer together,

I think they're more likely to see and respond to a tweet than these forums tbh.

Yes please, I also like to avoid mods because once I pop I just can't stop... then I have one thing which breaks the game, I can't figure out which because there's too much and I have to delete the whole folder. But I hate the whole neighbour sims coming in and just making themselves at home, I don't think this should be allowed unless you're at either good friends level or you've given them a spare key. Respectful house guests please! (And an option of telling disrespectful guests off, could be tied in with their traits maybe? Some more polite than others)

Sometimes it's these little things that make the gameplay annoying. Also who in real life will autonomously cook in other's house…I hope they have locks on all these things, or just prevent such actions will do good.

Why a password? Developers might think and only add "fail to log in" action for NPC, as they inconveniently sit down on the computer but to no avail attempt to use the computer.

Plausible solution: Stop NPC autonomy and attraction towards computers until player directs an active Sim to "Give Permission to Use Computer" towards the visiting Sim.

"Password lock" is just the term that I thought would sound normal, same thing as locking a door or claiming a bed. If a guest wants to use my computer irl I have to give them the password.
Edit: But for the sims, not an actual password. Just a not funny sounding way of disabling a computer for guests.

I suggested something like this on another thread a little while ago. Just use the "lock" that you get for any door for the computer as well, for just one Sim, a household, employees, butler etc. etc.

I've got my worlds now completely filled by my own Sims so they tend to do the visiting round the neighbourhoods. Got to my limit in recommended Sims with them.

* Would like for two sims to be in the same room together without the computer interrupting every interaction.
* I am on console and cannot use mods (although it is nice that a mod was posted here for other who can use them!)
