Passwords on computers

So this has been on my mind for a while and I wanted to know what other people think about it.

It has always annoyed me to no end that guests will use your sims' computer unless you put it behind lock and key. This is something that just seems really weird to me. In real life you wouldn't go over to someones place and just start using their computer, at least not without permission.

So if our sims could put a password on their computer guests wouldn't randomly start using it.

What do you think, is this something trivial to you or do you agree that there should be something like this?
  • Anyone else find it humorous that’s it’s considered inappropriate to grill or cook at a friends house, but totally fine to just go use their computer?
  • Yes! I really support this idea! It would be cool too if only the sim that set the password were able to use it, but you would have to option to share the password with other sims in the household, in case you also want them to use it.

That works only in larger multiroom lots, though. And it means sacrificing things like siblings come in to annoy your teen in their bedroom, etc.
  • Love this idea! It could just be a lock system like the doors and you decide who has access to the computer.
