That is unfortunate. I cannot tell from the pic which is the garage. Is it possible to experiment with:

  • take a top-down layout screenshot...
  • save the rooms to your library, or moving them to and unused basement level, then...
  • delete the platforms and recreate the same room with walls...
  • then re-place each room. 

I've seen that before when apparently someone did not realize that platforms are not foundations, and it can cause confusion.
