Player driven Ideas to take Sims 4 off of the charts!

I'd love to open this discussion for ideas that EA can easily do, AKA an easy change but a better one. First here is mine: Change the plumbob abilities. Yes, I know it is a symbol of the game an all that- but I can't be the only one who is bothered by an extremely large, very sharp looking, crystal above your sims head. I want a halo, a crown, a ring of leaves, a devilish pair of horns, a ring of butterflies, anything circular and smaller. I believe this to be an easy change. Bonus: The ability to change the color and size, or make it more invisible and see through. The 20th anniversary is the perfect time for players to make their own plumbob change! I'm excited of this possibility! The crowns I mentioned above would also change color the way the plumbob does if your sim has low motives. It also could discretely flash as a way to tell the player to look at the motive panel.
Players who are not bothered by the plumbobs size and color can keep it the way it is. Ok, my other idea is to have EA Maxis give us the ability to create our own townies, only these townies would show up in the game, no other townies allowed. Can you imagine designing your own maid, your own butler? All your service sims would be dressed the way the player wants them dressed? Of course players would have to design all their townies everytime they started a game, but I'm betting they would want to! The inhabitants of the world Selvadora are all dressed differently but alike, I like that idea! Villiages in the real world, often dress like their tribe, so it does make sense. And also would signify what family they came from, belong to. This is done already in Selvadora, sorry if i spell it wrong. It'd done there to a great extent and a lesser extent in Island Living. I randomly say that outfits for males in Island Living, wearing tights was very silly.

Another idea? I'm full of ideas! Bring the subway system back from Sims 3 if we can't have cars then this is appropriate. I loved the subway system. The way you could place it anywhere in any world. Last idea is the ability for players to "Turn Off" any worlds they own but do not really play with imagine closing and locking worlds like for example 'Stangerville' but be able to keep on the build/buy stuff that came with this world? Wow! The game might even load faster, because certain worlds are turned off and the game while loading would SKIP the worlds the player has turned off.

Die Hard players: Whats your ideas? And please try to make them easy changes, sticking to the original premise of the game we all love. Nothing really strange like "I'd like a lazer pistol to kill other Sims with." I mean, if you want that, there are other games that do that, lots of other games.
  • There is a way to remove the plumbob.

I would love to see them bring back the color wheel for CAS and buy mode (from TS3). I can't even tell you the number of times I would love for my drapes to match up with the furnishing, or just simply having two different styles of curtains match in color, and not to forget getting the exact color shade for clothing options.

Losing the color wheel was almost as big a let down for me as the game not being open world or having vehicles. Every single time I play the Sims 4 without exception there are a few moments were I actually feel a little upset over the loss of being able to use your own patterns and colors on every object in the game.

And painting .... why did they ever get rid of being able to easily drag your own artwork into a folder outside of the game so your sims could paint that picture in game. It was a simple process of resizing the picture (usually with a free photo editor), then drag and drop it into the correct folder.

Overall there are dozens of things the Sims 4 does better. But a few things that sometimes make the game feel like it was downgraded.

I think the emotion & trait system is still problematic. Sim's behaviors are too much influenced by emotion instead of traits. For example, in the sims 3, a neurotic sim will look out the window and inspect the stove. In the sims 4, sims keep doing pushups when energized. I believe traits need to have a stronger impact on sims and we need more traits and more trait slots for each sim.

A minimum of 5 trait slots, with a trait being on a sliding scale. Example: neat could range from simply neat and tidy to an obsessive neat-freak. To go along with the color wheel, opacity sliders on make up and some clothing accessories (leggings, for example) would give us more options.

I'd be satisfied if they used a variation on the system from TS2. Multiple swatches per item, and we could use any swatch from the appropriate category (i.e. any fabric for a dress.) New packs could simply add new swatches. Although it wouldn't be quite as flexible as TS3, the mismatched furniture problem would at least be solved.
  • I don't care about plumbobs at all tbh

but I too would like something in world view to create and assign npc ourselves for maids bartenders mailman... etc. for a world

it could come with randomize button for those that are not into making them

+ overall townies on/off toggle so game does not generate new ones at all and uses existing households you have in your game I can't stress this enough

+ also notification toggles for phones and overall or at least let me not own phone

I'm sick of festivals and free earbuds and parties bugging me constantly

also they could let us choose sims idle habits cause vlad flipping out phone to take selfies and doing some random push ups is... out of character to say the least
