Pool Party option? More party types?

So I've built a pool yesterday for my sims and decided to throw a pool party, but none of the guests went swimming, and they didn't respond to the 'swim together' option either (only sims from my own household). I think that's a bummer, I'd like to throw them a proper pool party.

Also completing the Party Animal aspiration was kinda boring because all I could throw were Dinner Parties and House Parties (none of my sims were to get married or grow up, so naturally I didn't choose those two party types). I'm aware that there are 2 DLC party types. Could you please make the Up All Night content available individually? I'm not interested in the rest of the Digital Deluxe add-ons.

I'd love to see more party types added in future expansions or game packs!

    They do respond to swim together as long as they're in high relationship with your sims.

    I'd love to have the new party types though, I'm already golden at every single one of them and I think there can be more.

    I'd like to have slumber parties for kids make a comeback. With the new objects in Outdoor Retreat, it would be cool to set up a tent in the back yard and have the kids sleep out there -- I did that a lot with my friends when I was growing up. For teens, I'd like a Teen Party option.

    Honestly, I was a bit surprised that EA / Maxis' "Pool Patch" didn't include a Community Pool lot type and Pool Parties. Personally, it kind of made the whole patch feel a bit incomplete. :(

    I remember Folk songs from Sims 2 was always a god way of having fun and building relationships with multiple sims. I think parties in Sims 4 would be lots more fun if we had things multiple Sims could use - like the hot tub or the bubble blower machine, really want that back!

    I think we should have water polo, Marco Polo or inflatables to make pools more fun

    Reviving this old discussion. Please Maxis, consider the Backyard BBQ. With all the cool patio and outdoor stuff this would be great to have a BBQ party. I love the idea of slumber party. With the movie stuff, I expected to be able to throw a movie watching party. Then at some time in the future it would be nice to have a funeral/wake for the deceased, maybe Grim can show up.

    yes to more party types, especially if they have really unique activities and aesthetic and such. Like, I wish I could set a "formalwear" option for dinner parties, or that the "talk about costumes" requirement wasn't so repetitive in both spooky and costume parties. Pool parties and sleep overs would be good additions, with a lot of unique possibilities.
