Problem With Friezes In My Stately Home

I'm experimenting with a colonial style house build, but I'm having a strange issue with the friezes.
Here's the house:

Here's the problem. The frieze is on the inside second floor:

Any help would be appreciated. I'll upload it to the gallery if someone wants to actually fix it. Thanks.
  • Instead of applying the frieze to the upstairs hall with a single click, use shift-click to apply the frieze individually to each of the exterior walls where you want it.

The problem is that when you simply apply a frieze to a room, the frieze gets applied to ALL exterior walls of the room ... and the double-storey space in the middle of your upstairs hall is being considered as an "outside space" ... so the fence gets considered an "exterior wall" and the frieze gets applied there too.
