Random Ideas( 2 Expansion, 2 Game, 1 stuff)

Expansions:

1) University

- New World – Dorms, restaurants, the university, etc.

- New Careers - Professor, etc.

- New Aspirations – Wanting to earn a doctorate, etc.

- New Traits – Studious, Slacker, Morning Bird, Night Owl, etc. (The morning bird and night owl affect mood based on what time the sim’s classes take place).

- New Lot traits

- New CAS options for all ages (I have seen colleges sell toddler and baby clothing representing the college

- New build mode items

- Different degree levels: being able to go from a basic degree to doctoral.

- If you are playing with one sim and plan to live on campus you get assigned a random roommate who can either be terrible or great.

- Random funny events like a squirrel snatching your course work if you choose to do it outside. If you get it back or not depends on fitness.

- One thing I thought of was a typical college stereotype and since they are all adults with it being college: WooHoo for a better grade

- If you have “Get to Work”
- An option you can turn off or on to have a requirement to earn a degree before you can join the Doctor or Scientist job. An option of a police academy would be nice as well and maybe even a business degree before you can successfully run your own business. Once again I think that this should be an optional thing that players can switch on or off in gameplay settings.

- If you have “Seasons”
- Weather can play a part in how well you learn for the day

- You have a risk of the wind blowing your work away if you are outside

If you have “Get Together”

- Clubs based around University activities.

2) Winter world – (obviously with a different name lol. )

- A new world in the mountains

- Add in Ice Fishing

- Add in Snow Boarding and Skiing

- Competitions for Snow Boarding, Skiing

- New Jobs (things like being on a rescue team, an instructor, guide, etc.)

-New Aspirations (maybe something like Yeti enthusiast or one where the sim wants to be the best at their particular winter sport)

- New traits (things like loves the snow, etc)

- New venue type – Lodge ( different rooms based on price. You can go basic basic and have a draft in your room or pay the max and have meals included as well as lessons should you want them)

- New CAS items for all ages (figure skating, more winter wear, etc.)

- New build mode items (More log cabin themed items)

- New Lot traits (Like Sulani has one for a Volcano this one could have one for Avalanches, at least I am pretty sure Sulani has volcanos based off of gameplay I have watched don’t have the pack for Island Living just yet).

- Hidden area in the mountains that you have to find (no ideas yet for this one, maybe a Yeti cave?)

- Snow terrain tools

- If you have “Seasons”

- Blizzards are a risk with varying levels of intensity

- Adds in Ice Skating to the world as well as Ice Skating Competitions

- If you have “Get to Work”
- Unlock the ability to buy, own, and run a lodge – you are able to hire NPC sims or your own so it can be a family business.

- If you have “ Get Together”

- clubs based around winter activities

- If you have “Cats and Dogs”
- If you are in the rescue career your dog can join you after it is trained in search and rescue, have this be like the Doctor, Scientist, and Police career in the way of joining your sim and their pup on the job.

Game Packs:
1) Homeschooling

- Pretty self-explanatory.

- Hire a tutor to teach your kids at home

- Teach your kids yourself

- New CAS items

- New build mode items so you can make a classroom

- Build mode items would allow you to have a daycare themed, elementary or high school based setting

- More subjects to keep track of instead of a single homework book

- Adds in strengths/weaknesses in regards to learning (like this sim is really good at math but another one struggles with it)

- Adds in teaching styles: Strict, Balanced, Relaxed

- Which one you do affects the child’s learning and will follow them into adulthood and influence how they teach their kids should they homeschool as well. (Sims with a “strict teaching” parent may take a “relaxed” approach with their kids)

- Add in grades (as in the level of schooling) for each time the 4 seasons pass or have it be customizable in gameplay settings – both regular and home school

- Adds in summer break – both regular and home school if you take the normal or relaxed teaching approach.

- If you have “Island Living”/ “Jungle Adventure”
- Learn about the culture and their way of life from a young age, if this is a strength they may gain an aspiration or desire to become an explorer of the jungle or a desire to move to Sulani

- If you have “Parenthood”
- Success in learning can be affected by the child’s mood
- The relationship between the child and parent will affect the teaching method and how much the child learns.

- If you have “Get Together”
- Clubs for homeschooled kids to socialize

2) Nursery

- Advances gameplay for the baby life stage

- Babies are no longer confined to their cribs/treated like a build mode object

- Babies will have milestones (like sitting up on their own)

- Babies will be picky about their food when they reach the stage of being able to eat mushy food but not soft

- Teething will affect the baby’s mood (requires a teething ring)

- Babies are added to CAS

- Babies have CAS items

- New build mode items (new cribs, rocking chairs, changing tables, etc)

- Baby toys

- Traits for babies (sweetheart, sleeps through the night, etc).

- Babies will have hunger, hygiene, and social needs.

If you have “Parenthood”
- The relationship you have with your other children may affect your relationship with the baby
-
- Teens can now “parent” their siblings
-
- Adds in Parenting classes

If you have “Get to Work”
- Open and run your own daycare either out of home or in a separate building

Stuff Pack:

Gardening Stuff

- New plants (like vining plants: morning glory, moonflower, etc)

- New CAS items

- New ways to grow plants (window based plants, house plants, etc)

- More garden-themed items

- More garden themed furniture

- Adds in humming birds/humming bird feeders

- Adds in wild bees that will pollenate veggies, fruits, flowers, etc on their own.

- Adds in Wasps (along with an item to prevent them from being on the lot)

- New death – Stung to death

- Wild animals may mess with your garden if you don’t have it properly protected ( a bunny ate my mom’s squash plant before it had a chance to grow, so now squash)

- Add in garden ponds with features – garden ponds can have fish
If you have seasons ponds will freeze with the risk of killing your fish.

- Adds in a “Best Garden” competition

- Add in a switchable option that if on will:
- - Cause Grass to grow, sims will have to mow it. Unkempt lawns will gain your sim scorn from their neighbors

- Sims will have to keep their hedges under control, if they grow over a sidewalk they risk a fine

  • I especially love the ideas for Winter Resort (and more winter outfits for all ages, yes, please) with Alpine setting, cozy chalets for families, luxurious hotels for rich and famous, maybe also some use for Climbing skill. Rescuer career sounds good too, aleways wanted something like that!
Also University and extended baby stage and all the respective stuff you mentioned, tho it's been discussed so much around here these ideas are hardly new.
I think Gardening is good as it is, I use it a lot and it's ppretty full.
I know Elders are not that popular but I'd love Granny Stuff Pack :)
    - appropriate clothes and curlers hairstyle
    - Knitting skill and clothes added to household CAS and build menu when knitted (doileys, baby booties - all the cute stuff)
    - playing lotto and having respective clubs where you can win decent amount of simoleons (pensions are good, but...)
    - walking canes, duels and fights on walking canes (let'em have some fun)
    - activities to safely build up Fitness skill for Elders and keep them in shape like ballroom dancing

adding to the elders fitness skill they should introduce aquatic activities such as water aerobics and water classes which would be so cute.
I think it would also be enjoyable if elders could choose different traits such as the grumpy granny, old school elder where they constantly compare the youth fashion and behaviour to their generation of growing up. maybe they become more in touch with nature and want to give back to the world so they are really into gardening so a trait like gardening freak might be fun to add in.
If they have grandkids maybe they could introduce an event where they look after their grandchildren so basically babysitting them. a trait where they become really forgetful or be really knowledgable depending if they do crosswords or sudoku sim inspired activities. maybe you have elders that stick to the old trends they used to grow up by doing their hair a certain way like 30's, 40's and 50's inspired.
you'd have that creepy old cat lady, that creepy window watching elder that peaks through their curtains or completely the opposite of a old granny looking out bird watching with a cup of tea and biscuits on her rocking chair.

I could go on forever.... but these are different ideas that could encourage players to play with elder sims <3
  • Oh yes so much to a nursery pack. I'd love to have everything you listed in the game.
