I made a build on the largest lot. Well I made it twice cause of a bug that caused the Sims to hate their surroundings. I bulldozed and rebuilt. No more hating the decor! Yay! Pond in the middle is inspired by: @JonaO703's build. I loved the idea a bunch. ♥ Used Twisted Mexis Tool to put horse shoe over the front door.
The sign on the tower reminds me of Gilly's. DogBitDesigns really influenced the design of the pool, pond go fishing and swimming.
Using TwistedMexis tool to make the animal sheds small and hiding them in the bucket so you can build your own shed was something I saw on SimmarySims Twitch channel. Clicking the shed in the bucket gives you the same options to clean and other things in the shed. LOL You can also upgrade it from there.
The little goat's name is Tiny Brute. LOL

Over view of the Ranch. Going right from bottom ranch house, swing set, little garden with perfects plants to make nectar and dragon fruit for cash. Tub by water tower if you need a scrub after all that work. Bunnies and birds around the garden area. Patio on ranch house includes fireplace eating area (covered) hot tub, grill and lounge area. Then the big pond, horse sheds, with training areas for agility and jumping. Chicken coop, then animal sheds for Cow and Lama. I did this during a rags to riches which took sometime. Please have #Moo on if you down load. The terrain paint took hours. Happy Simming ♥ I'm ReneHollyDesigns on the Gallery.
@simsplayer818 @ReneHollyDesign1 Thank you for your kind words and encouragement in regards to my ranch! ❤️
@ReneHollyDesign1 Oh my gosh... iI love your ranch! What a great idea to shrink the shed and build your own! I never thought of trying that! I actually did that with butterflies on the ranch I shared last night (shrinking and raising the bug cage for them to place them in bushes - and if you look at the railing by the front door I embedded one cage inside the railing on the deck so the butterfly is above it and animated). So fun! Got the idea about a year or more ago from @AlJay2000. I never though of using the idea on something like the cow/llama shed! 🙌Also, I know what you mean about how time consuming the terrain paint & landscaping can be! Nice job!
@ReneHollyDesign1 it looks lovely, I was hoping we'd get to see the rebuild!

Thank you! @SheriGR @simsplayer818 @JonaO703 @ @Heautontimoru @GardiniDiMarzo I don't know why that isn't working for the @ but I copied the names exactly. Also great idea with the butterflys @SheriGR I may try that in the future. Thanks bunches for the idea. ♥

@SheriGR I have been trying to find you on the gallery. Is your name the same? The gallery doesn't seem to know it. Or it's just the gallery being horrible. LOL
- @ReneHollyDesign1 I can't search for anyone on the gallery or see anything other than Xbox builds. I was hoping it would be fixed when work started on the Gallery recently but it's actually worse now. I can't download them as it causes an error code (that's actually why I joined AHQ) but I'm sad I can't look at them. That's why I love this thread.
Other than that I can only see one page of various contributions from players, full of duplicates. But I'm hoping there's still work to be done to improve it 🤞. - ReneHollyDesign12 years agoSeasoned Ace
@SheriGR Thank you. I followed your link to the web gallery and followed you there. That doesn't link to the in game gallery for me. @simsplayer818 However; I copied your name in the web gallery and used (pasted) that in the game gallery and it worked and found you. I don't know why that works over me typing your name in search by ID in the game but it does. I have used this a few times now and it works. I hope this work around might help you too @simsplayer818 .
@ReneHollyDesign1 I'm so glad you found me and thank you for the follow! ❤️

You're very welcome. I'm havd fun checking out your catalog 😉 You're a terrific builder.
@ReneHollyDesign1 Awww... you're so kind! My favorite part of playing for the last several years has been to build stuff with other players in mind. I think of a goal that will challenge me in each build so it presses me to learn and get creative (and problem-solve). Plus the whole time I build it, in all the details, I'm thinking of what would be helpful or enjoyable to other players in this detail or that (big and small stuff). That's my motivator, as I spend a crazy amount of time on each home (some of which is grinding to work out wrinkles). I'm the opposite of a speed-builder. 😆 Anyway, when I find that someone's enjoying a home in their gameplay (or downloading it to learn to make a certain thing, etc), that makes my day and motivates me so much! I also have had a lot of fun creating and sharing some stuff I hope is helpful (like all-season perfect multi-plants).
That's what I love about this game. People can find their niche or goal and pursue it in their way... make it their own, so to speak! 🥳

@SheriGR If you ever see in my catalog you will see I have perfect plants uploaded too.
I love doing tip uploads if I find something I think will help others. For instance it's really hard to get the smog vac to clean furniture in eco life style. I tried getting one out of debug but couldn't pick it up to use it. I placed it on a for sale table that comes in the pack and when the Sim clears the table he then owns the smog vac and can use it. So I did an upload of the smog vac on the table to clear into the Sims inventory. You do still need bit you get from recycling to run it.
A bunch of other odd things. I also upload things I made for my game but hey happy to share. I think it is so much fun!♥
Also not a speed builder. I can take a couple of weeks to do a build because when I go back the next day and look again I always find something I don't think is perfect and have to change it. So yes I understand. I want everything perfect and usable for the sims. I always build with a sim testing everything. Well I actually play the Sims life (that I choose) and build at the same time. LOL
@ReneHollyDesign1 Unfortunately I can't see any followers atm... I can see who I follow, though, on my profile. I tried searching ReneHollyDesign1 and it did not bring up your profile/items for me. Do you have a different name in the gallery?
- ReneHollyDesign12 years agoSeasoned Ace
@SheriGR On the Gallery I'm ReneHollyDesigns no 1. Thank you for looking for me. Yes I can't search people on the gallery either unless I copy their name in the web gallery and paste it in the search ID in the game gallery. Odd but it works.
The Sims - The Gallery - Official Site (ea.com) I hope it works for you too. ♥
@ReneHollyDesign1 Oh my goodness... so many lovely and creative things in your catalog! I followed you and left a message, but no matter what I tried it wouldn't accept hearts in the message. Gallery is just not loving me atm 😆. So here they are: ♥♥♥♥
I will be looking around in there myself... and telling @PugLove888 to have a look as well, as I see that cottage "Beach House for 3" is absolutely adorable, and both of us love quaint homes and builds with Victorian features!- ReneHollyDesign12 years agoSeasoned Ace
Thank you so much I appreciate your kind comments. I have a few Victorians builds. My fav for a long time. I wish we had something better in the way of stained glass in the game to do a Victorian build justice. I love the stained glass over the entrance door (many here with the names of the first owner) and ovals in the stair wells. We have many Victorian builds where I live and I love going for walks through different neighborhoods just to look at them all. Our town was founded in 1826 and many of the builds have survived and been kept up.
Many heritage homes. The jail/court house that was originally built on the Thames River at the edge of town is now a wedding venue. It looks like a old smaller castle (Gothic Revival) structure. Not that I would want to get married there. The jail cells are still in it and can be visited. Really tiny. There are many ghost stories about it. One about a Prisoner called "Peg Leg Brown" .They say you can still hear him walking around the jail at night. lol The Police department had his peg leg on display at one time. Kind of morbid.
I found a picture but It really doesn't do it justice. It is covered in vines and looks quite beautiful.
I did a build called the house next door. Well that is actually the house I lived across the street from. I have since moved. The Office to the side that was also partially upstairs. No doubt they had maids and butlers back in the day!
@ReneHollyDesign1 That's awesome! I love castles, stone buildings, and mystery! We're big fans of many English shows that convey some of these (including Downton Abbey). My roots are pretty English, though I've never been there. Anyway, I'm rather fascinated by these things. Thanks for sharing that info, your interest in using your game to create some of these building styles, and for discussing your builds! I've enjoyed the side chat! 🙌

@SheriGR My town is called London but not in England. Obviously it was started by settlers from England. The river Thames and Dundas Street. Victoria hospital founded in l1838. Many more similar names. They even had cable cars in the beginning. How they thought that would work I have no idea since we are in Canada and get lots of snow. LOL
Little Seer's Ghosts (tripod.com) Some ghost stories that happened in London and stories from others.
Thank you for your kindness. Hope you are having a great week and happy Simming ♥
