Reduce the generating of townies

Hi everyone.


My save is already full of sims I created : about 90 played sims, and something like 20-30 unplayed ones, some of them working in restaurants, the others are used by the game to work in spas, foodstands...

I think it's totally fine when the game create a townie to work as a maid or a gardener. But why are sims constently generated without reason, only to be used as passerby, when I have so many sims available for that ? This issue is even worst with City Living : in one sims-hour, the game create something like 8 sims household (with only one sims in each of them).

I would be nice to have an option to disable this generating of sims, when it's not really needed. I'd rather have less passerby but no sims to delete or edit (because randomly generated sims don't look good most of the time). The more sims are created, the less chance I have to see my own sims in community lots, and that's really sad when you spend time to create sims and families you like.

I think it would also be nice to asign service role to a specific sims, to allow us to create our own NPC.

    Hands down the worst thing about this game.

    I have over 100 unplayed households. That should be more than enough for game to fill NPC roles, we don't even have that many of them. I delete every single game spawned townie with MCCC the second I see them. Poof, they're gone. Can't stand them. They all look the same, TS4 only has like 5 basic face models for random sims similarly to the pudding faces of TS3 so they're easy to spot.

    I agree.

    At some point I went through my unplayed households and gave a lot of them makeovers, but that was a while ago, and once again, the game is filled with ugly, unnecessary random townies. I don't need these. Nobody needs these.
