Remakes and Remasters are in trend now EA

Everyone is doing it. From SE to Disney, movies to videogames. And you wanna know what their secret? They're literally just touching up graphics and modernizing the gameplay.

Please get started on TS2. Just modernize the graphics, CAS, and Build Mode. Honestly I don't trust you to handle the gameplay loop so leave that to the modders.

No thanks. It's not hard to find Sims 2 games on Amazon.
  • Please don't give them the idea. Again. I don't trust that they won't ruin it and strip out gameplay. I'd be devastated! It's best to leave a classic and possibly make a sims 2.0 instead or maybe even 3.0
  • The thing about chasing trends is that by the time you're finished, the trend is over.
  • No, just play the old games. Shouldnt we want something fresh and innovative? I dont like Eco Living but at least its something new.
  • I'd quite enjoy a version of TS2 with TS4's build mode and CAS upgrades. Heck, if they're feeling frisky, they can even sell it as a "Complete Edition" with all of the EP's and SP's for $80-$90. They'd probably make a mint on that...especially if they also had a limited edition package that sold for $100-$120 that came with a physical copy of the game, an strategy guide, and some other flashy goodies (just so long as they don't say that their T-shirt will be cotton and send a nylon one instead...if you get the reference). TS2 is one of the most beloved entries in the series, and it's old enough now to have a lot of nostalgia power behind it. Tap into nostalgia just right, and you can make huge pile of money, and we all know how EA feels about huge piles of money.
  • Guys, don't go crazy. I want that too, but if they ever did that they wouldn't even be able to release all expansion packs and stuff packs at once. Its impossible. They would have to add new character models to make the game more "desirable" for a new generation of players, and with that they would have to remake every single interaction from scratch. Imagine doing every new object's interaction in 2/3 years remaking SIms 2. Impossible. BUT, I STILL WANT SIMS 2 BASE GAME remake, and they can release all packs later on remade too + new packs (cuz I can't live with the shallow occults in SIms 2, can't live without my club system and my calendar from Sims 4).
Also, open world, please. At least Sims 2 smaller worlds/neighborhoods would go crazy, so you could even have the detailed in depht create-a-style. And, I'd rather have the small editable neighborhoods form SIms 2 than the "big worlds" from Sims 4. Would be cool if they remade the world/neighborhood creation from Simcity inside of the game this time. I would love to be able to sculpt the terrain, place roads, etc... And, I'm okay with the Sims 4 fake buildings as decorations as long as we can place as much lots as we want.
