Guys, don't go crazy. I want that too, but if they ever did that they wouldn't even be able to release all expansion packs and stuff packs at once. Its impossible. They would have to add new character models to make the game more "desirable" for a new generation of players, and with that they would have to remake every single interaction from scratch. Imagine doing every new object's interaction in 2/3 years remaking SIms 2. Impossible. BUT, I STILL WANT SIMS 2 BASE GAME remake, and they can release all packs later on remade too + new packs (cuz I can't live with the shallow occults in SIms 2, can't live without my club system and my calendar from Sims 4).
Also, open world, please. At least Sims 2 smaller worlds/neighborhoods would go crazy, so you could even have the detailed in depht create-a-style. And, I'd rather have the small editable neighborhoods form SIms 2 than the "big worlds" from Sims 4. Would be cool if they remade the world/neighborhood creation from Simcity inside of the game this time. I would love to be able to sculpt the terrain, place roads, etc... And, I'm okay with the Sims 4 fake buildings as decorations as long as we can place as much lots as we want.
