I would give my first born to have normal landline phones, those that sit on the desk, those that hang on the wall. Telephone booths on streets and community venues so your sim could call a taxi to go home, etc.
I play a lot of retro saves set in the 60's, wayyyyyyy before there were cell phones, so them whipping out a cell phone is 100% immersion breaking for me.
I use to love when the phone rang and you only had one in the house, and it inevitably always rang when your sim was clear on the other side of the house and by the time they got to it, it stopped ringing.
