Started this challenge! I'm quite a ways in now. Both of my founders are now adult sims and have four children together (one young adult, two teens, one child). My cash is sitting around £90,000, I haven't checked how much including assets, but ahh! This challenge is hard but awesome :P. I've grown so attached to my founders I'll be sad when they go (already used up their one allotted life potion). I may post pictures later, though I haven't taken many.
How is everyone else doing? What careers do your Sims have? I'm thinking of letting one of the children stay home and just write when they mature to YA, so there's a steady flow of royalties on top of everyone else's take home :)

Careers: My original play thru saves I have focused on Tech Guru, Writer, Painter and Astronaut careers. Writers ... with or without that career are especially profitable. I have had a couple Teens complete the Best Selling Author Aspiration before their YA birthdays. The save I am playing now I am starting with lower level careers. I am sure it will take a LOT longer to get ahead.
