Second Floor L Stairs?

I havent really seen an answer to this, Is there a way to make L-Stairs on a second floor going to the third? I followed some tutorials on youtube for making them on the ground level to 2nd. But when I try the same method on a second to third, it doesnt work. I even tried to make the 1x1 tile on a detached ground level and then selecting the option to move the square, but upon placing the two shorter ones they just disappear entirely. I'm trying to make a stairway to an Attic so having that smaller footprint of an L-stair would be extremely helpful with the sloped roof.

  • Dang, appreciate the reply on it, hopefully they add something like that, I love the building homes side of the game.
  • Gave it a try @EverclearBoy @CaptainStumpy ... Not sure what to think of it and haven't yet play and weather tested it but simply getting too sleepy. Probably not what you'd actually want.

  • That's a pretty cool solution, I take it that is working because the floors arent closed complete due to that corner? That's a pretty clever solution, I'll see if it can somehow work with the attic trying to do. Thanks for the post and pictures too!
  • Yes, tested the build and the stairs work fine all the way up. It also is weather proof - you'll face problems with roofing, that's why the flat roof and chimney in an odd place. The stair landing squares causes that the roof has to be placed on 3rd floor above them and for the same reason normal roof doesn't lay down neatly as the squares have the effect on all the squares next to them... so 2 squares affect the area of 3x4 squares which the regular roof can't cover.
