What a fun idea, I love seeing all the beautiful creations from this community 🙂
I'll kick this thread off with my current work in progress, although this build still has a long way to go.
Would you show us what you've been working on as well? I'd love to see!

Creative Roomies
Created to home three creative roomies. Includes separate and shared living spaces. Separate living areas are geared toward 1) an artist who loves yellow 2) a writer who loves sea-toned blues 3) a fashion designer who loves grays.

SpoilerThe artist studio contains all a painter would want, including snacks, coffee, and a designer's tablet to paint electronically, if desired.
The writer's office/studio features ocean/water blues throughout, as this is their stated favorite color theme. The walls are lined with bookshelves, and the computer is portable so they can also write on the go. The large slider overlooks their private deck and provides an airy, inspiring atmosphere...
The basement includes the separate living space for our fashion designer, who also enjoys fashion photography. This will provide a workspace to photograph models. The walk-in closet, makeup table, and full-length wall mirrors will be extremely helpful for the models during sessions. There is also a quality camera, photography studio, and seating area for models. There is also a nook with the designer's work desk, which includes a designer's tablet and work/wall board for their career needs.
Back yard 1: Back yard includes an all-season garden, a porch (covered) and patio (partially covered) with grill/table/plenty of seating; bird feeder/yoga mat/telescope and other items to enjoy.
The open floor plan of the common area, mainly on the first floor, but partially on all three floors includes a bar, living room, dancing/stereo area, a game table, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, exercise room, media room, indoor lap pool, and deck/porch areas.
- simsplayer8182 years agoHero@SheriGR Wow! That's stunning!
I really love the neutral colour palette and the creative roofing. The images are so clear it looks real. I don't recognise the artwork though with the black and gold, which pack are they from?
I just added an apartment block of my own to the gallery called Dockside Apartments. I placed it on the Old Salt House lot in the Spice Market in my game but I added an elevator and for some odd reason I couldn't see inside the building at all until I removed it. I knew the elevator wouldn't go up and down but it was just for authenticity so I was disappointed to take it out. Mine is for roomies too.- SheriGR2 years agoHero
@simsplayer818 How fun! I absolutely love that location (The Old Salt House) and have played many, many Sim years on the location! Did you share your Dockside Apartments here? I'd love to see it! The black and gold image I assume you are referring to is by @FruitLoops40, and is NoCC art. According to my records the room in the gallery is/was named "3 panel set". I downloaded it a while back, but if she happened to re-upload it with a different name, just check her player profile,. She has tons of lovely art, as do the other players that I credited in the description for the art/pictures on the lot.
That's definitely disappointing about the elevator. It would be a really fun addition to an apartment building. I have made duplexes before and used them to house a merged household and played it rather like two families via locked doors, plus I have given shared spaces in the lot/home via this method as well. I find it a fun challenge that is interesting and a fantastic fit as a way to go for the right household. I've also done this with roommates that you 'rent' to (but don't control).
I'm going to dm you a link to video I found on adding/using elevators. Thank you for your kind words about my lot! 🙂

I don’t have For Rent yet, but decided that poor Johnny Zest needed to have fallen on harder times. I present: Johnny’s trailer park:

Sorry about the lighting! But I really wanted to show that the debug trailers light up at night!

Looking great @JonaO703!
@xochiquetzl_xkvn I didn't know there were debug trailers, I must finally start using debug. It looks really cool.

Clockwise the lot includes a horse barn with party loft, a pen for cow/llama and chickens (and the mini goats/sheep use both areas), a fishing/wading pond with bridge (at back home entrance), a 'guesthouse' (where my 3 roomies and butler sleep (includes small kitchen, bathroom, and living room), a treehouse, the main house, an all-season garden, a 'vender stall', a garage with work area and storage, and a large horse training fenced area.

- simsplayer8182 years agoHero@SheriGR It's awesome! You've made so much out of the lot size but it still looks spacious. Love it!

@SheriGR Wow! Lovely build. I really love the ranch pack the horses rule. This pack is so much better than I thought it would be. Love your build. ♥
- ReneHollyDesign12 years agoSeasoned Ace
I made a build on the largest lot. Well I made it twice cause of a bug that caused the Sims to hate their surroundings. I bulldozed and rebuilt. No more hating the decor! Yay! Pond in the middle is inspired by: @JonaO703's build. I loved the idea a bunch. ♥ Used Twisted Mexis Tool to put horse shoe over the front door.
The sign on the tower reminds me of Gilly's. DogBitDesigns really influenced the design of the pool, pond go fishing and swimming.
Using TwistedMexis tool to make the animal sheds small and hiding them in the bucket so you can build your own shed was something I saw on SimmarySims Twitch channel. Clicking the shed in the bucket gives you the same options to clean and other things in the shed. LOL You can also upgrade it from there.
The little goat's name is Tiny Brute. LOL

There is a partially separate and partially shared rooftop area that includes an all-season garden and 4-season sunroom.

Main floor layout (main living area for each side plus the master bedroom).
Basement layout… includes laundry, two bedrooms, family bath, and walkout to back yard/shared pool.

Here's my latest build Collina Serena. It's based in Tartosa and is for my travel writers. It's full of collectables mostly from the jungle, Moonwood Mill and Sulani. They own a print shop too and have the moon prints and a few space prints around as well. There's a basement office full of display cases, a gym and a sauna. I usually build it on the Desert Bloom park lot but chose Tartosa this time.

As you probably know by now, there have been numerous requests for a bands pack in the sims 4. The pack would look so much better if it includes the addition of a rock musician branch to the entertainment career, as the current musician branch focuses too much on classical music. The addition of the branch would be part of a base game update as well as the addition of the singing skill from City Living to the base game. Recognizing that in mind, I decided to create an emo rock musician named Serenity Rune, who is named after a lot from the console version of The Sims 2: Pets and a shower-tub in The Sims 3: Seasons. She is a teenager who has an emo hairstyle that has a bang completely covering one of her eyes. While creating her, I realized that I had to use a low to moderate amount of cc to adhere to her true self. Having numerous emo hairstyles (including some that completely cover the eye) as part of the pack and the associated basegame update would be much appreciated.
I have attached two images to this post to compare what Serenity looks like with the required CC and what she looks like without. More images of her are available by visiting https://www.curseforge.com/sims4/sims-households/serenity-rune/screenshots.
Thank you!

I would like to know how to share my lots to more people or users? I spend days on them, letting my creativity flow, sometimes I live in them for several generations continuously adding & building. I think people would really enjoy them, I play Vanilla, I only use EA products, I never use CC, and when I share them to the Gallery... they will only get like 2 Downloads. I do not know anyone in real life who plays. How do I find and add like minded people? It's becoming a lonely place to work so hard on a lot & then never find anyone to share it with. Any help appreciated, thanks!

You may like to post your builds on the sharing creations thread on the current Sims forums site @KATHYLEE10893
The link is
https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/793222/share-your-newest-the-sims-4-creations-here/p1
When the new forums site is launched in July, that thread is marked to be a part of that site also. Often simmers will see the creations that are posted on that thread and then go to the gallery to see them.
As well as posting them in this thread on AHQ.- simsplayer81810 months agoHero
Thanks @JonaO703 and @rosemow it took a few attempts before I was happy with it.
@KATHYLEE10893 I hope you share your builds with us and I look forward to seeing them!

Hi! iam just like you i build my lots with attention to detail and with game functionality in mind. My only thing is that there all expensive! lol and I never use moveobjects cause you cant have overlapping items it creates obstructions to gameplay and editing. After having done a few neighbourhoods i decided to set the same standard everywhere and i redid about 200 over the last 3 years ive had the game. I have shared on the gallery but i too have not had alot of downloads.. the only lots that attracted lots of downloads are my Tim Hortons and Starbucks. I didnt pay attention enough to keywords, i think that might help you attract more downloads.
- rosemow10 months agoHero
Hashtags are a great tip to use when uploading creations! @Le_Slacker 🙂 They help simmers to find items that suit what they are looking for. They particularly help if the creation that you have built or created has a special theme or style or feature and a hashtag is added to suit or reflect that.
