My 2 characters are from an animated show, Voltron Legendary Defender.
I've had quite a few chats lately about lot traits and multi purpose lots so while I was checking my game to see if it's stable enough to play yet (it's not, it crashed after 5 mins) I grabbed a few snaps of some of my multi purpose builds and examples of where I've bent the rules a bit to get more properties for my Sims in different worlds. I thought I'd add them here.
So this first one is a residential/retail lot in Sulani. It gives my Sim a weekend house and a shop. The shop goes underneath the house in a cavern style as if it's been hollowed out from the Sulani volcanic ground. The house is set to Household Members only via the gate to keep customers out. The store sells copies only of Sulani and Jungle treasures and has displays of some original items like skulls for viewing. Money goes to World United as I wanted it to be ethical. It also has space collectibles and rare crystals, geodes. I used the cloning machine to make copies and when I restock I go back and make more as restocking copies can be problematic.

This is my florist Sim's property empire. Cinnamon owns 3 properties, a Brindleton Bay house and 2 florist shops in Magnolia Promenade and Mt Komerebi. She has a flat above one of them. To stock her shops she had a bit of help from my Wiccan, Aurora who used the copypasto spell to copy some flower arrangements as flower arranging has been a bit buggy since Cottage Living. It can cause a problem restocking arrangements created with copypasto so I go back and replace them myself when the store runs low if I need to.

This my dog rescue/vet in Brindleton Bay. I didn't change the house there too much structurally but I redecorated and added stables, training facilities and a Vet's office. Amelie uses the Vet's office to treat strays. She's rescued over a dozen dogs to be rehomed with family and friends, kept a houseful for herself and treated and trained all of them. Her house and stables are open to strays 24/7 and the stables are stocked with beds, toys and food. It gets pretty busy at night.
My other Sims can visit to adopt stray dogs directly from the shelter too. Yeah, so this one was a real labour of love.

Since about March this year I've been renovating existing EA lots in a building a world style challenge. I've recently switched to playing in Sulani and just finished my renovations of the Kin-Ship lot, home to the Kealoha household. :D

I wish I was half talented as you guys are, but thought I should share my recent project: replicating my real life house 🙂 I mean, its nothing like the builds we see here, literally created by pros, but its looking nice and very similar, at least: - Zasz_Zerg3 years agoRising Ace
A club for forgotten hollow with attached cemetery.

I wanted to copy a farmhouse lot but couldnt so I made my own. Turned out modern but I still am satisfied the way it turned out. Especially the pond.

My current favourite lot. Off-the-grid, all exotic sims, self-sustained, no technology and lots of fun.

@Zasz_Zerg How cool is the pond feature! Your lots look wonderful and I really like your off-the-grid lot. 🙂

@simmemoirsThat house is gorgeous! I want to go to there. I'm sure the Kealoha family loves it! ♥
@EA_Mari I've tried creating some houses based on real life ones so I know how difficult it can be. So, I think you're being way too modest. They're almost identical!

@Zasz_Zerg Your Sulani lots look awesome! How you make use of the rocks/boulders is so creative. 😃

Thank you.
They are now all available in the gallery under the same name as here "Zasz_Zerg".
