Okay, so I hesitate to really call this "Chapter 7" because it's less of a story, and more of "bits and pieces of what happened in my game the past two days". The reason being, I've had a few issues with my mods lately, namely the ones that let me choose Monica's classmates. I played for a few days where none of Monica's friends showed up to school, and I didn't want to post an update until I could get it fixed.
Anyways, I got it fixed by using a different mod. Everything is working somewhat normally again, minus a few things which you'll see later in this update.
Okay, with that explained, let's move on to the story.
Monica Sharpe had a plan. A plan for her future! She wanted to follow Eloise's advice and join some school clubs. One in particular caught her attention: Drama Club! She signed up for it, along with Scouts. She figured that completing both would help her later on if she decided to apply for Britechester University, or Willow Creek College, depending on which one would accept her. https://i.imgur.com/D0aFqky.png Monica also worked hard to complete today's homework. She was determined to get her grades up as well. Earning the Civic Responsibility badge wouldn't be much trouble, since she often washed the dishes. https://i.imgur.com/Q8l2eBC.png She met a new friend at school the next day. (I couldn't figure out why Monica and Jeb both look so bored. Since I had to choose the school staff again through my mod, I thought he'd make a good principal.) so the new teacher, Catrina Lynx, was supposed to teach the class today, but she didn't show up to the classroom! https://i.imgur.com/xpZ7zKv.png Instead, she was downstairs in the cafeteria...getting a glass of milk. (Which is very fitting, considering she's a cat lover, and wears cat ears all the time. Sometimes I think she believes she is a cat.) https://i.imgur.com/EE2NxfP.png During lunch, Monica talked with her friends for a while... (everyone showed up to school except for Munch! I couldn't get him to show up! He's also no longer in Monica's relationship panel. Neither one of them said a word. There was just a moment of awkwardness while they stood completely still for a few minutes. Now that was a lot of drama! Is Monica happy? Is she sad? Does she like Don more than Jeb?
She also joined the Drama Club! So that's even more drama!
I'm not sure why Catrina wouldn't teach the class. I've changed a few settings on my mod, so maybe she will next time.
I didn't set Ms. Rita as the teacher. The reason why is mentioned in the "bonus chapter" below.
Most of what happened in today's update actually happened without me even doing anything. I play with Autonomy off for the currently selected sim, so anything Monica did (minus hugging Don) was because I chose for her to do it. I did not, however, do anything to make her unhappy when Jeb was around, happy when Don was around, or invite either of them over to Monica's house!
One more note: Just before I pressed the "Post" button, Monica apologized to her mom for yelling at her. :)
Bonus Chapter: The school days that never happened. Note: This is not part of the story, but it's what actually happened in game as I was trying to figure out how to explain why Monica's friends no longer went to school with her. I took screenshots just in case I couldn't fix my mods. Below is a "bonus chapter" based on those screenshots and written as though Monica had a dream.
It was a cold winter day. Monica's mom had just dropped her off at Copperdale High. Monica often wondered why the school spent hundreds of dollars on fireworks every day. (this object really does create a fireworks display every morning. It was part of the lot when I downloaded it, and I've kind of gotten so used to it, that I don't think Copperdale High would be the same without it.) https://i.imgur.com/LinDhot.png The school was filled with many unfamiliar faces, except for Cassie Goth and Bailey Ethington. It's up to you to make friends. "But I have friends, and they used to go to school here," said Monica. "This school hasn't had any new students since the beginning of the semester," said Mr. Mansfield, "now I don't have time for this anymore. "Okay, I'll check the records," Mr. Mansfield checked the school records on his phone. "It says here that the students you mentioned go to Brindleton Bay Highschool," said Mr. Mansfield.
After talking with Mr. Mansfield and her mom, Monica was able to transfer to Brindleton Bay Highschool before the next day. She acted as if she had a headache. (That actually happened! I have no idea what that was! I didn't get a picture, and it didn't happen again. It was just a sort of dark "pulse" around Ms. Rita and it made a sound similar to what the Grim Reaper makes when he leaves. It was really strange! Since that happened, I am not setting Ms. Rita as the Class 1 teacher, even after I got my mods fixed.)
