- Also, I'd like the same thing for kids and teenagers too.
- MadameleeNew Rookieit wouldn't techinally happen since the animations would have to a lot be re-done.
- I agree, Technically my sim's best friend is suppose to be Six foot, three and my sim's girlfriend is suppose to be five foot eight, and me five foot eleven, but yeah, animations, redone... and new sliders/manipulations in cas.
- Yeah I would like for some height customization! It would be cool!
- MiataplaySeasoned AceAdjustable heights with a slider and tweek the kissing animations or any other animations that might be affected by height sliders. This would be a sims 4 dream to achieve...Go Team!
- Actually, as a friend of someone with animation knowledge, this can be happen but they will have to be limited on specific height. The hardest part is probably making sure that all animation are correctly synced. Further information, let's summon @Gullveig
- The easiest way to make 'heights' work with certain animations, it to not have a slider. Instead, have specific heights. Short, average, tall, then have animations that sync for all. (kiss for short/tall, kiss for tall/average, ect) however, there are so many more animations beyond kiss that I could imagine someone going mad. Taking a picture together, hugging (I imagine lots of chests clipping into short faces), and I'm sure there are others I'm not thinking of. Plus, the mesh for clothing would need to be altered. A tall sim would be 'stretched' so the mesh would need to be extended. I wouldn't imagine that clothing would look the same on every height, but I could very well be wrong!! Either way, a slider is not feasible. Perhaps 3 specific heights, yet, but even that is a LOT of work.
- @TJKazuha09 Why are you tagging an amateur like me for this...
but either way. Yes, from what I know... it's possible. They just have to change the way an animation sync, but I think they might want to compress the file size since animation targeting and rigging might be so much more complex than the current one. The only way to keep it sync is to give limitation on the height difference.
I'll give an example. Skyrim is where you can see proof of animation between 2 different height characters in game sync. Different races have different height, yet their animation can sync almost accurately and also... uhm.. their...modders... are able to sync the animation as well. If it wants to be done in sims game, they will need to add tags on characters with specific height.
Let's say: Character with height 1-3 tagged as Short. Character with height 4-6 tagged as Normal, Character with height 7-10 tagged as tall. Then after that... well.. idk, maybe their dev know more than me, they might have to add special interaction between characters or to simply add new rigging to fit the height difference. But I still think it's possible with more effort. - MiataplaySeasoned AceI'm sure it's possible..the game is still in production...still baking off the base.
