@TJKazuha09 Why are you tagging an amateur like me for this...
but either way. Yes, from what I know... it's possible. They just have to change the way an animation sync, but I think they might want to compress the file size since animation targeting and rigging might be so much more complex than the current one. The only way to keep it sync is to give limitation on the height difference.
I'll give an example. Skyrim is where you can see proof of animation between 2 different height characters in game sync. Different races have different height, yet their animation can sync almost accurately and also... uhm.. their...modders... are able to sync the animation as well. If it wants to be done in sims game, they will need to add tags on characters with specific height.
Let's say: Character with height 1-3 tagged as Short. Character with height 4-6 tagged as Normal, Character with height 7-10 tagged as tall. Then after that... well.. idk, maybe their dev know more than me, they might have to add special interaction between characters or to simply add new rigging to fit the height difference. But I still think it's possible with more effort.
I don't think that a game like Skyrim has the same kind of interactions between the characters (even though I don't play that game).
But we know from TS2 what the problem is because in TS2 there was a code which made it possible to stretch our sims. It was only a cheat code and it wasn't meant to be used in ordinary play. But it could be used to temporarily change the height of a sim for screenshots.
If we attempted to play with stretched sims then the problems immediately were there: the sims kissed the air above the head of the other sim or the other sim's stomach. If they gave something to another sim then it didn't hid the other sim's hand. And so on. So the problem with different heights is that interactions between sims won't work anymore. All the interactions would have to be made in a different and much more complicated way.
But in war games characters usually only shoot at eachother. So different heights therefore aren't a problem in such games.- LoanetRising ScoutEven three different heights for each Sim, male or female, would mean that for every interaction between two Sims there would have to be three extra animations. Furthermore since gender restrictions no longer exist there would need to be animations for male and female sims too.
No, I think it's more... *tries to figure is out*
Ah yes. For something such as a kiss there would have to be 3 x 3 x 3 extra animations - That's twenty-seven, one for each height depending on whether they were kissing or being kissed, and depending on which height is kissing them. And this would be for a large number of interactions between Sims. - Right now, I have the opposite problem. I installed the height mod when creating a household, and I think it caused all the Sims' heights to vary. Not enough to be noticeable at a glance, but enough to throw off some of the animations. I need some trick that'll help me restore all the Sims to default height...

Only thing I can thi. nk of is to delete the mod and the localthumbcache file. That should restore the defaults, I would think.
