Sims 4 - Generation Challenge - My version - No expansion packs needed

I hope you enjoy, and do think about posting how you're doing, plus any pictures or storylines!!!
Have any questions? If so, please post them, and I will answer them as soon as possible, and make it clearer on this challenge page!
Thanks so much for checking this out and/or doing the challenge! It's 10 generations long, no point system though...


The Generation Challenge
On most generations, I will use the word “he” instead of (s)he, this is because it’s easier… you didn’t play the game wrong… probably.
Rules:
No Cheats (unless specifically asked)
Listen to rules from specific generation

Generation One
Creating your sim: You MUST create a sim with the following qualities.
It must be a male. Why? No reason, just I started with a male, so that’s a rule! LOL.
He MUST have the Angling Ace aspiration.
2 traits MUST be Loner, and Loves Outdoors. You may give him any other trait.
You may dress him however.
He must be a YA
Lifespan can be anything -- normal is recommended.

Background: Your parents have told you so much about a great fisherman who grew an amazing plant called a cowplant, by fishing out the seeds, but it was considered a myth. You thought the story was real, but whether it was or not, no one knows. You want to prove it’s real. You even signed your own contract to force yourself to continue at this dream.
I, *put in name here*, swear that I will search land (or water) near and far, to find the rare cowplant seed. I will pay no attention to anyone else, as they will distract me and think I am crazy. Mom is making me mature as an Adult and get a kid, but that will not distract me. I will never show any sign of other human life form until I prove the myth is real. Now, I begin my journey.

(Now, the game begins)
Rules for this generation:
Your sim can only care about fishing. He will cook when necessarily, but he will usually grab a bite from a forgotten tray.
He will try to befriend no one. He may meet one or two people, but overall, he shall know as little people as possible.
He cannot get married, have kids, or be romantic in any way.
If he finds a cowplant, he will continually fish to find more cowplant seeds. If one dies he still wants to prove they exist, anyway!
If he finds at least 5 cowplant seeds, he can stop fishing for cowplants if you want to... or you can keep fishing for more -- your choice!
As an adult, (NOT YA)he thinks about his mother's words and decides to adopt a girl child. (You must adopt a GIRL CHILD as Adult)
The child will want to be different than her father, being a social butterfly at school. (Social Butterfly aspiration).
The child will NEVER love the outdoors and stays inside as much as possible.
The child MUST have the gloomy trait. Dad will rarely look after the child, causing her to start the next generation as a teenager. (Generation 2 begins when kid becomes a teen.)
Dad doesn’t throw her a birthday party.
Read the next generation “Birthday” section before choosing an adult aspiration and another trait.
Generation 2 (Part One)
This generation begins when the child turns into a teenager.
Birthday: Your next generation sim (the new teenager) has celebrated her birthday by becoming more mature! She will want an aspiration that has to do with becoming popular, as her father was not, and he was the worst dad a kid could have. She really wants to have a lot of friends! After remembering she was adopted, she realizes her “dad” must have hated people. He never talked to anyone, which meant she had to. This means her aspiration is “Friend of the World”, and her/his new trait is “Outgoing”, as she wants to be the opposite of her dad.

Background: Your teenage sim had a horrible life back at home. No one cared for her. If she wanted dinner she had to make it herself. If she had a nightmare, she was expected to go back to bed without waking up her father. If she did anything wrong, she was locked in her room for the rest of the night, where she couldn’t even use a toilet. Her dad barely even looked at her, and rarely talked to her. When he did, it was usually for misbehaving. She was also an orphan, with a twin sister and an older brother. All she ever wanted was to stay together with them. No one wanted 3 kids at the same time though. One day, she was adopted without the other 2 kids. After a lot of tears and giving them her new address, she promised she would send them letters on how it was. That was the first promise broken. She didn’t know anything. She didn’t understand who her carers were. She didn’t understand where to get food, and what she didn’t understand that made her dad mad the most, was what a toilet was. She used a bucket at the orphanage. When she couldn’t look at dad’s face, she would peek out the window at him fishing. She could always find him. After a week or so, she understood that she had to make her own food, she had to get to school on time, and the outdoors was scary. She now understood she had to run away.

Rules:
-Right after her birthday, the teenager must “Run away from home” to an empty house in a
different town (Example: Starting household in Oasis Spring, she might move to Windenburg) She cannot move into an apartment, as the landlord would turn her back into her dad. She can do this by going into “Manage Worlds” and transferring her between households. How I would do it, is to transfer her inh with 1 older sim, and then transfer THAT sim out of the household, so she is the only one in the house. Also, she must start with a house that is LESS than the current house value (Find it in the build mode)
-She must start with only $100 after moving, (meaning, before she changes up the new house), because she cannot fit too much money in her pockets.
-She must have a teen job
-She must go to school at least 3 days a week.
-She does not need to do homework unless she wants to, as she doesn’t understand it too well, so do NOT make her do homework. After a while, she will begin to just do it.(Hopefully)
-She cannot go out after dark, unless it is coming home from a job, as the cops are searching for her only at night strangely. They start searching at 9:00 P.M. They stop searching at 7:00 A.M.
-She can start getting a boyfriend, but this will take a lot of time, as she never experienced love before.
-She cannot answer the door for anyone, including the welcome wagon group, fearing it may be the police.
-She is scared of talking to adult men, but can do it. She prefers not to though.
-She can celebrate her birthday, but only by inviting teens or female young adults.
-When she becomes YA, different rules take place, found below.

Generation 2 (Part 2)
This generation part starts after the teenager becomes a Young Adult
Birthday: She can have any new trait. Nothing special here, but there are new rules to follow… and a little story of her teenage life!!!

Background: Her teenage life was frightening. She couldn’t go out past 9, and if she did she was in severe danger of being caught by the police for running away. She had to support herself, with money, food, and other needs. She was scared of many adults, but more adult men, as in this time, women were rarely cops. She could barely survive, sometimes having to eat that spoiled mac-n-cheese on the counter… which came out quickly after the same way. She had to keep up at school, sometimes passing out before she made it home! She spent multiple days in jail as well, for stealing a wallet, or someone’s burgers, or even once her dad’s car! Every time she was in that concrete cell, she felt happier than she had all her life though. They gave her free food, a nice bed (a little hard), and no school. Overall, it was horrible. Will her Adult life be better?

Rules:
-She may now go out after dark
-She must get married
-She must have at least three kids
-She can get a job before bearing a child, but after, she must quit her job to be a stay-at-home mother.
-Her husband must have the most-paying job, unless he is already in a job, in which case, he does not NEED to switch. It is then optional.
-She cannot adopt any kids.
-She visits her dad at least once every 2 weeks, if he is still alive. If not, this rule is forgotten.
-She can make money by wood-working, painting, or other hobbies.
-When the children are toddlers, they can have any traits you would like, but none can be the same.
-When the toddlers turn into children, half of them must have a good trait, and half must have a bad trait. If there is an odd number (3, 5), the one extra can also have a good trait. For example, if there are 5 kids, 3 would have good traits, and 2 would have bad traits.
-The child aspirations can be anything.
-When they turn into teens, they must have the opposing trait, for example, the first child would start with a good trait. After turning into a teen, they would have a bad trait.
-When the oldest child become a YA, the next generation starts. Choose his/her trait after reading the Birthday rules.


Generation 3
This generation begins when the oldest child turns into a YA.


Birthday: You new sim must have the loner trait. If this is impossible, then make sure he (it can be either gender, I’m just using he in this generation, much much easier.) has the good trait. If either of these are impossible, choose any trait.

Background: Your sim got so much attention at home. He always NEEDED to have his homework done, usually before getting to play electronics, only got to go outside before 8, and had to go to bed usually at around 10. His brothers and sister though, got to play electronics before homework, went outside at 8:30, and went to bed at 10. His parents were strict with that… (if you didn’t do this it’s fine, doesn’t need it) He has had enough talking for his life… until he meets someone.

Rules:
-He must move out of the house
-Depending on gender, the sim must meet someone of the same gender as he/she is, and must start becoming friends. After a day, he must realize he loves that sim.Yes, this sim will be gay/lesbian.
-Must get married.
-10 Days later, whether Adult or YA, realizes they want a kid, and adopts a baby boy, pretending they had it. To get it’s name, you must randomize the first name once to see what the parents want it to be called. The last name must be as follows… if your sim was a girl who got married, the baby has the last name of the opposite girl. If the sim who got married was male, the baby should have his last name.
-When they turn into elders, the next story begins. Look on the next generation tab for birthday rules.


Generation 4
This generation begins when the married couple turns into elders

Elders Birthday - If you’re kid isn’t a child or older yet, have one of the parents make a cake to age him up to at least be a child. Otherwise, the kid can’t care for himself, and will die… and end your challenge...

Background - Your child was always confused at why he had two of the same gender parents. (If kid is a teen, read anything in Parentheses (), if not, you can skip these.) (Plus, he listened to the WooHoo talk from his teacher… but there is no way for 2 of the same gender to have a baby!) His bestie from school told him about having a mom and a dad, and how they don’t always like to do the same stuff like his do… He also realized he probably was adopted, because he didn’t look like his parents, and everyone else had a mom and a dad, so that was probably how they create babies. He decides to love a lot of people…….

Rules
-When the kid becomes a teen, give the serial romantic
-if/when he completes it, finds love and has 2 or more kids.
-If he can’t complete it, he still has 2 or more kids with 1 person, at adult life (Not YA)
-He gets married to whoever he had the kids with.
-If he is a child, he moves in with a different family, wanting to live with different genders
-If short lifespan read in these now; (lala)! In normal, read this now; lala! And in long, read in these now ! After he lives there for (a day) 4 days he starts to be rude to this family. Perform lots of mean/mischievous interactions to the family, with few nice ones.
-The final kid they have must have the lazy trait, and the slob trait.
-After every kid (except the final kid), they can move out of the house, but they do not have to.
-After the final kid they have turns into an ADULT (Not YA) the next generation starts. You can celebrate any birthdays.
-If mom/dad has died before then, that is fine, but the final kid has to live there until Adulthood.





Generation 5
This generation begins when the final child becomes an adult (Not Young Adult)

Birthday - Nothing special happens
Background - You had always been a lazy bum, eating whatever food your mama and papa made you, but now, they’re either aging, or have died, and your stomach isn’t being filled… and the couch has gotten saggy… so You decide it’s time to move out! As you contemplate whether you should live in your friend's home or get a new home, you decide on the new one… literally, the new one. So, you take out a loan for 30,000 simoleons, and add on what you had already! Luckily, the bank even forgets you took it out, and you never have to pay it back!!! And you go ask some builders to build you a house with 2 bed, 1 bath, a small kitchen (with a 4 person table), 1 living room area, one ‘Game room” with video games, and a computer, and a huge flatscreen in your bedroom. Then, you go live your life… in pajamas.

Rules
-He must start on a 30 by 20 empty plot of land.
-He must not get a job or ever leave the house.
-He must get married to someone met at the welcome wagon - or someone just randomly knocking on the door… but if nervous this cannot be done, he could also just adopt 3 kids.
-He decides he likes kids and adopts or has 3 of them. If you have the kids, you must have the 2nd one when the first one is a toddler, and the 3rd one when the 1st one is a child.
-If you adopt, you must adopt 1 of every age (1 toddler, 1 child, 1 baby) at the same time. All can be of either gender.
-After having/adopting the kids, he realizes he needs a job and settles for social media career (if you have City Living). If not, he gets the Tech Guru Career.
-When the middle child becomes a teen, the next generation begins.


Generation 6


This generation begins when the middle child becomes a teen

Birthday - Has the Insane trait, if already has, then choose anything.

Background - As you sit stargazing outside, watching your dad play Sims Forever inside, you suddenly start flinching for no reason. You start speaking English, even though you only know Sim Language. As your siblings stare at you with disbelief, you flinch back into reality. As you ask, “What happened?” and they explain, you realize you are insane and have no idea whether this is contagious or not, so you decide it is best if you just leave. After explaining to Papa why you have to get going, he begs you to visit every so often, considering how busy he is… basically, he means that he is way to lazy to visit you. You promise to visit at least once a week, before packing your stuff and heading out. After arriving at your new dream home, you look around and frown. The air is gross, and the weak smell of blood lingers… you bravely smile, and step straight in. Knowing you have to care for yourself here, you bravely take up a job.

Rules
-After telling dad you have to move (tell him a story) you must move to the cheapest lot in a different town. The house cannot be more than 20,000 simoleons.
-You may use a money cheat to afford the house… but only if it is the cheapest.
-Every week you must visit your dad when he is alive
-As a teen, you must have a career
-You must get married to a very ugly sim, because with your insane trait, you think she is beautiful.
-You must have at least 3 kids with this woman, and continue the challenge with the “ugliest” one
-You cannot have a career (hobbies are fine) but your wife can
-You can have a career until you have kids, when you decide to be a Stay-at-home dad
-When the “ugliest kid” becomes a Young Adult, the next generation begins…


Generation 7
This generation begins when the “ugliest” child becomes a YA

Birthday - If at all possible, give this kid the gloomy trait or hot-headed trait.If these aren’t possible, then choose anything.

Background - You always got teased for being ugly. You didn’t understand why though… it’s not your fault your mom/dad is so ugly… you knew you needed a makeover…
(sorry on shorter background… I started getting bored…)

Rules
-Right after birthday, you got plastic surgery… This basically is that you go into “Plan Outfits” on a dresser, closet, mirror…” and change your sim to look beautiful.
- Your Sim should move in with his/her best friend. Move in with them, and raise a family… by becoming gf/bf with the BFF.
-If the sim is same gender, follow the same rules as Generation 3 for babies, but still read this. It is important...
-Have One baby, before realizing that it isn’t right to do this with a BFF, and break up and move out with the kid after the kid becomes a child
-Have another kid with a different sim, and get married this time.
-When the first kid (BFF’s kid) becomes a Young Adult, start the next generation.


Generation 8
This generation begins when the first child (AKA, the BFF’s child) becomes a YA.

Birthday - Nothing happens

Background - You always wondered who your other parent was, the one you barely lived with, barely knew, until your real mom/dad (the one you live with) blurted out his name. Now, you want to go find him/her, your long-lost relative. You start off by knocking at the door… what will happen…?

Rules
-You must move in with your other parent until you find love, and move in with your new spouse in his/her house.
-You must have three or more kids, because three, is the magic number!! Yes it is… okayyyy...
-You may choose any kid to continue the challenge...
-You must abandon the family (move away) after being embarrassed by your kids (move away when the last kid you are having turns into a child)
-You must live your life alone until you become an elder, when you move back in and meet your kids again
-The next generation begins when this generation’s sim dies.

Generation 9
This generation begins when last generation’s sim dies.

Birthday - There probably isn’t any birthdays right now… unless you count death day, which is… um… weird…

Backstory - You weirdly rarely lived with your mom/dad, and you have no idea why, until finally! Mom/Dad Moved back! But then, so soon after, your long-lost parent, passed away. You knew this would never happen to you, so you marched on to your new life, trying to forget your poor parent who died. You knew, you would never leave your kid’s side.

Rules
-Move into a very small house, on a 20x15 lot.
-Adopt one baby, a baby either gender, soon after moving
-Do not get a job, but considering you are not married, you can still EITHER paint OR woodwork for money -- choose one or the other.
-You cannot go anywhere when the child is a baby or toddler, and when it is a child or teen, you must bring it along (sorry for calling a baby “it” but it’s too hard to use both genders.)
-The toddler’s bed must be in the same room as your bed, and the baby’s bassinette must be in your room as well. The child’s bed may go out of your room.
-When the child becomes a Young Adult, the next generation begins.

Generation 10 (The Ending of the Family)
This generation begins when the adopted baby becomes a YA.

Birthday - If possible, give the loner trait, otherwise, give mean or evil. If none of these are possible, just choose any trait.

Backstory - You had always been carefully watched. You went outside and scraped your knee? There was your parent, directly above you, “Are you okay? What happened? Should we get to the doctors?” And you had enough. You were finding a house, and talking to barely anyone (loner) or if you do talk to people, being rude to them (mean/evil).

Rules
-You cannot get married
-You cannot have/adopt kids (last generation, if you want it to keep going, you can continue.)
-You can do anything (basically), as there are no other rules this generation...
-after death, the challenge ends, basically, this is no-rule generation…
