Sims 4 Astrid Lindgren Lagacy ( English)

Hello everyone! 😊

I am [Edit - CM] a huge Sims fan, and I came up with this challenge all by myself. Since I really love the stories of Astrid Lindgren, I created a whole 10-generation legacy challenge out of them! 🇸🇪✨

I don't make videos, so I wanted to share the challenge here as a text with you. I put a lot of effort into the stories and rules for every generation and really hope you like it. I would be super happy if some of you try out the challenge or leave me some feedback!

 

Generation 1: The red house ( inspired by Pippi Langstrumpf)

Location: Brindelton Bay

„Hello, I am sure you wonder who I am. My name is Pippilotta, but everyone calls me Pippi. You surely wonder what I am doing as a small child here at such a big and huge villa. The answer is that my mother, when I was very small, passed away and my father, who was the captain on a ship, disappeared overboard after a heavy storm. They did not find him until this day. Now I live here alone and live my life.“

Rules:

• She is rich at the beginning, because her father inherited her a suitcase full of gold pieces. She has 50.000 Simoleons at the beginning.
• She gives her friends, especially the poorer ones, gifts and Simoleons every now and then, because she thinks it is funny. Only at adult age does she notice that she exaggerates. Besides, 2 false friends sneak in who exploit that.
• She ignores the school often and her first human friends shall be two neighborhood children.
• She shall own a white horse, which so to speak represents Herrn Onkel.
• She shall get 2 children named Ida and Michel (Michel must be older). The other one shall become really clingy, so it so to speak replaces her monkey Herrn Nilsson.

 

 

Generation 2: The village child ( inspired Michel von Lönneberger)

Location: Hendfort on Bagley

„Hi people. My name is Michel. I come from a boring harbor town called Brindleton Bay. As a child, I always did a lot of mischief in contrast to my sister Ida. She annoyed me with her 'always be good' way. By the way, my mother wrote into her diary almost every day how bad I was, and I got into trouble almost every day. For this reason, I said: It's enough for me! I already ran away from home as a teenager. My name is Michel and this is my new life!“

Rules:

• Starts with 0 Simoleons.
• Must like mischief – that belongs to the permanent part of his life.
• Has a difficult reputation in the village.
• He must also marry a person who likes mischief and can cope with his way.
• At least 3 Children.

 

Generation 3: The simple happiness ( inspired by the kids from Bülerbu)

Location: Windenburg

„Hello, I am sure you wonder who we are. Our names are ………. and we come from a beautiful small village called Hendfort on Bagley. Unfortunately, our parents and our family are pretty hated, which is why we decided to move out already as teenagers. In the night, we moved to a beautiful small lot in Windenburg to make everything better – especially regarding our behavior compared to our parents. We are the 3 …………….. siblings and this is our life!“

• Rules:

• All 3 children of Michel must live together on one lot.
• The children also take a bit after their father and sometimes do mischief (but only against each other).
• They have a furnished house, but start with 0 Simoleons.
• They already have a garden as teenagers and are helpful towards older people.
• The 3 siblings will always stay connected with each other and live together as long as possible.
• The contact with the parents is heavily strained and rarely maintained.

 

Generation 4: The dreamer ( inspired by Mio, my Mio)

Location: San Myshuno

„Hello, my name is ……….. . I come from a quiet forest area in Windenburg. My mum thought it would be a good idea to conceive me from a one-night stand and looked out for him. According to all my information, it became clear to me that my father lives in the big city of San Myshuno. I absolutely want to get to know my father, which is why I moved to the city. My name is …………. and this is my new life!“

Rules:

• He must find his father again in San Myshuno.
• He saved up quite a bit, which is why he can afford an apartment in San Myshuno – but without furniture. He has an apartment with 0 Simoleons.
• He competes with another lover for the love of his life (so to speak simulates the fight with Kato in the book).
• May only have 1 child.

 

Generation 5: The warm home ( inspired by Madita)

Location: Tartosa

„Hello my dears. My name is ………….. and I come from the beautiful big city of San Myshuno. My dad was the best you could ever imagine, as well as my mother. My mother was very strict and raised me that way, but was also very caring. In contrast to my grandpa – the biggest cheapskate I have ever met. He always only looked out for himself, and when we had problems with money, he didn't help us at all. Nonetheless, my childhood was the most beautiful you could ever imagine. Still, my favorite place was always the warm and tropical area where there is ocean and palm trees. My name is ………………. and this is my life.“

 

Rules:

• Madita shall develop a sense of justice and shall therefore enter the Law career and reach Level 5.
• She reads the books by Astrid Lindgren and gets inspired by them.
• She shall be a more modern woman.
• After that, she notices that the job doesn't suit her after all, and therefore goes into the Politics career, where she advocates for women's rights.
• She must fall in love with the neighbor boy, who then makes his dream come true and goes overseas (so simply move away).

 

Generation 6: The wild freedom ( inspirited by Ronja d

The robbers daughter)

Location: Chestnut Ridge

„Hello, my dears! My name is ……….. I come from a place where it is much too hot for my hobby: Riding! I liked it since I was a little child and love to live in nature without annoying people. That's why I wanted to move to Chestnut Ridge my whole life and start my own life there. My name is …………………… and this is my life!“

Rules:

• She must move to Chestnut Ridge and found her own small farm.
• She starts with 0 Simoleonsbecause she was robbed on the way.
• On the neighbor lot, a criminal gang suddenly moves in, and she is persuaded to join them.
• She will therefore be dragged into the Criminalcareer and must reach at least Level 5 before she is allowed to quit.
• She marries someone from this gang and has a child with him.
• She persuades her husband to quit and become good.

 

Generation 7: The cheeky mind ( inspired by Karlsson from the roof)

Location: San Sequoia

„Hi, you surely wonder who I am. My name is ……………. and I come from the wild west. My mum as well as my dad were criminals at the beginning. But then they were finally able to free themselves from this gang. Due to the fact that my mum and my dad were able to help catch the gang, they only got a fine. But enough of that, now it's about me and this is my new life!“

Rules:

• He sneaks into his neighbors' house every day, where he will also live secretly for a while, because he has no place to live at the beginning (so to speak simulates the roof).
• He causes small chaos in the house (for example eating food or slightly damaging things).
• The children are supposed to discover him and tell their parents, but they don't believe them at first.
• He is supposed to be discovered by the family at a party because he suddenly appears.
• He falls in love with the daughter of the family.
• When he becomes a young adult, he buys his own house.
• At least 2 children (should be twins).

 

 

Generation 8: The last stars ( inspired by the brothers of Lionheart)

Location: Moonwood Mill

„Hello, our names are ………. and we come from a place where many families begin their new start. Namely from San Sequoia – a beautiful place near the ocean. Our parents met in a very curious way. But that doesn't matter at the moment, we want a new start and we always liked the night. Our names are ……… and this is our life!“

 

Rules:

• Supposed to move out at teenage age.
• The younger brother feels huge pains during the journey, which over time turn out to be a severe, deadly illness.
• There shall be a house fire, in which the older brother frees his younger brother but dies in it himself.
• The younger of the two shall find a wife and found a family, with the father dying during the pregnancy.
• The mother shall raise the child completely alone.

Generation 9: The last summer ( inspirited by Holidays on Saltkrokan)

Location: Brindelton Bay

„Hey, my name is …….. and I come from a relatively dark place where werewolves belong to our everyday life. Our father unfortunately passed away early – I would even say, too early. But now it is about me: I heard of a house of our ancestors. A beautiful house is supposed to stand there called „Villa Kunterbunt“. Anyway, the house is supposed to stand by the ocean and it was always a dream of mine to live by the ocean, which is why I decided to renovate the house of my grandmother.“

 

Rules:

• You must move out from home only as an adult, because you don't really know what you want.
• When you move out, you quickly make friends with residents of your age.
• One of your best friends will be a girl named Stina and one named Tjorven and her St. Bernard dog.
• You will have an affair with one of your male friends and from that a child is born.
• You start with a newly furnished house, but with 0 Simoleons, because all the money went into the renovation.

 

Generation 10: Life Itselt ( inspirited by Children from Noisy Street)

Location: Windenburg

„Hello, we are ……………….. and we come from a wonderful harbor town called Brindleton Bay. We are also friends and were relatively lively as children. Our mums were partly desperate with us, but whatever. We have always been the best friends, which is why we also decided to move out from home as friends. Our names are ………… and this is our life.

Rules:

• You start as a young adult in a simple house in Windenburg with 0 Simoleons.
• You either move into an old family house or build your own small home from scratch.
• The focus is on a quiet, normal family life (everyday life instead of big adventures).
• You must get at least 1–3 childrenand raise them.
• You shall actively maintain family contacts (visits, meetings, joint activities).
• Old family objects or keepsakes from earlier generations shall be collected or displayed (e.g., photos, furniture, heirlooms).
• One child consciously takes over the „heritage“ of the family at the end (e.g., house, tradition, or family history).
• Big dramas or extreme story decisions are no longer the focus – it is about stability and togetherness.
• You are allowed to make a career, but family always has priority over work.
• At the end of the generation, a big family celebration or meeting is organized, where all important family members come together.
