A lot of people didn't want the transgender/gender identity stuff and that was a way bigger deal. I loved it, but many didn't. Its just zodiac signs and if you don't like them they honestly don't affect people who don't care for them as they don't really push anything on the player. Its more a nostalgia thing as the previous games had it.
Oh don't get me wrong, I loved the zodiac - I'm even into a bit of astrology myself. If they could make it optional - like the gender options are - then yes. The problem is zodiac signs were an integral part of the attraction system in previous games, it would have to have some functionality to it in order to be implemented, players who don't like it may not have a choice to not use it..
It should definitely be optional, I agree. I just want the option to use it in the first place.
