Sims Initiating "First Kiss" Themselves

What I have always noticed is that Sims never initiate a First Kiss with anyone they're romantically involved with, instead it's up to the player to always do it. Surely if two Sims have started developing feelings for each other and are perfectly happy to flirt, then why can't any of them think "I want to kiss this person" and just initiate it themselves?

    I guess that’s just where they draw the line at stuff they’ll let sims decide to do by themselves. It’s still not as big a step as actually dating or woohoo, but I bet a lot of people wouldn’t want them doing it. I believe there’s a fair amount of interaction locked behind the first kiss, so it might just be the game’s way of subtly asking if you’re sure about it.

    There’s a mod for it if you’re okay with that kind of thing.
