I stand by my previous statement posted in your other poll.
I believe there comes a point where one should start using one’s imagination and ability to think creatively.
Utilize the tools we’re offered in this game in creative ways and don’t expect every single feature that promotes inclusiveness to be literally handed to us.
If you’re a console player and you genuinely want a real life disability as part of your game, maybe it’s time to invest in a gaming laptop or pc so you can start using mods.
I think people are looking for a different simulation game when asking for this kind of gameplay.
The Sims is comedy. The lactose intolerance trait has potential to be comical. A simmer could force a sim with that trait to only drink milk and be entertained by the way they’re suffering. Fun in a game, maybe, but not in real life. We can kill off sims in 50 different ways. Fun in a game, perhaps, in real life not so much, to put it mildly. Can you imagine what the implementation of full on disabilities could do?
I believe people just want, want & want all these too serious to life elements stuffed in their game but fail to consider the consequences.
Why do you think Maxis sneaks in traits like lactose intolerant? That’s because part of the community has been begging for disabilities to be included and this is a way for the team to see how the community reacts! Let’s start off with something small, shall we?
It didn’t go down very well with some and folks wanted it to be removed because apparently it’s offensive.
Imagine this kinda stuff on a grander scale?
I’ll be on a different planet when that happens. Sixam perhaps. If I could ever live there that is. ?
