Instead of a poll why not have a discussion on what should be included in it and draw up a concept of what it should look like. That might, very loosely might, help you change minds if you are so keen on this idea. It would be a lot better than a poll.

Good luck this is an uphill battle, but also know when to cut your losses cuz this can and will get very messy and EA will start locking threads.
