Oh look, I'd almost forgotten about this thread. Back to life, you! And here are a couple of starters....
1) Gallery link: Hungarian Starter
I've already mentioned this one in my showcase thread, but I guess it's worthwhile to mention it here again. Kind of keep this thread a record of shared starters, y'know? Anyway, this one is based on a typical Hungarian farmhouse plan. I'd made a bigger, pricier, non-starter version for the 4sims4 building challenge, and I liked it so much that I had to build this starter version.

2) Gallery link: 10K Cottage
This one is made on an even smaller budget: 10K instead of 20K. I factor the cost of a 15x20 Newcrest lot into the budget, so the gallery upload is actually under 8,500. The total cost could be a lot lower, I suppose, but I'm very reluctant to use any bed with an Energy rating less than 5. The bathroom plumbing fixtures are the cheapest you can get *without* the "uncomfortable" tag; and ever since I found out that you could get an "uncomfortable" moodlet from the cheapest fridge, I've been going for the second cheapest in kitchen appliances as well.
