Story Telling Questions

Sul Sul, fellow Simmers! Long time gamer, new to the forums. I have a question about story telling and posting. I love to write but capturing my Sims as they go is not exactly my forte. So long as I introduce them with pictures, and a bit of background, would I be able to write without photos following along, or would it be too confusing, or possibly go against group rules.
