Supernatural (Comment YOUR IDEAS!!)

Sul Sul!!

I know I'm not the first to post about this, but I did want to add to what other's have come up with.

I think it would be incredible if we had more supernatural themes in game. A Supernatural/Magic themed EP would be an incredible add, in my opinion. IF THEY DID IT RIGHT. I think Sims 4 has come a long way since it's release; I'm finally truly enjoying my gameplay within the last year or so, with the addition of Toddlers, Cats and Dogs, GTW, GT, CL, and of course, SEASONS; but I have been craving some supernatural gameplay.

Now, I'm 26, and I've been playing The SIms since I was 9, since it's release of the first iteration back in 2000, and I have ALWAYS been a generational/realism player. I've only ever dabbled with "supernatural" sims in the very first Sims game, and I'm not even sure you can go that far as to call it "supernatural" gameplay. I literally made a "goth" themed sim, and had her join the psychic career path. I never actually purchased or played any of the supernatural packs in later games, and I am not a fan of Vampires or Aliens in game at all. (going back to reference that I am a realistic-styled player)

HOWEVER, I recently, and by recently I mean within the last few days, made a "witch/gypsy" themed Sim, and I AM OBSESSED. I love her, and I am just so lacking the supernatural aspect to the game that would afford me the ability to really explore her lifestyle in depth.

In my opinion, I think if they added a Supernatural/Magic themed EP, it could be an extremely addicting, and fun addition.

What I'd like to see:

Different lifestyles, aspirations, traits, and moods
Different career paths to suit our supernatural sims
Exciting new gameplay- interactions, skills, whims, ect.
Supernatural themed decor/furniture.

For the aspirations:
Romany - focus on the Gypsy aspects (for your sims interested in the Fortune Telling career)
Druid - focus on the ancient crafts; priests, magicians, soothsayers, ect.
"Head Witch/Warlock"- for your witch/warlock sims. Self explanatory
Enlightened - focus on the "inner being" aspects, would work with wellness skill.(for your sims wanting a career as a psychic or medium)
Unrivaled Supernatural- where they work towards becoming the top in their career path, be it Psychic, Fortune Teller, Medium, ect.

Traits:
Aware - would compliment the Enlightened aspiration
Intuitive - would compliment Witch/Warlock sims, as well as sims in the Psychic, Medium, or Fortune Teller career paths.
Peaceful/Tranquil

Career Paths:
Psychic
Fortune Teller
Medium
Potions - which would closely relate to the Gardening career, in which they focus on herbology and making potions from different plants.
Jewler - craft and enchant different gems.

Interactions/Skills/Whims:
Magic Skill
Herbology/Potions Skill
Fortune Telling Skill
Cast a Spell - interaction where your sim can cast a spell on themselves, or other sims, regarding love, luck, mischief, ect.
Contact Ghosts - interaction where your Medium or Psychic sims can offer to contact a sims passed loved ones.
Cleanse - Supernatural sims with a high enough Gardening skill can grow sage, and burn it in their homes, or homes of others to "cleanse" it.
Enchant - interaction where your sim with a high enough logic/magic skill can enchant food, objects, plants, ect, to boost their tastes or quality.
Tell Fortune - interaction where your Supernatural Sim, with high enough skill, could use a crystal ball, or a gem to tell the fortune of another sim.
Curse - mischievous interaction where your angry sim can cast a curse on another sim they may dislike. Annoying inlaws? Curse them!

I'd just really enjoy a Supernatural themed EP, and I think with Fall coming up, it would make for an amazing expansion!!

Comment down below, and let me know your thoughts and opinions!! Are you totally for a Supernatural addition to our game?? Are you absolutely against it?? Sound off below, and let me know what you think!!

Also, feel free to add any ideas you may have!! I'd love to hear them.

Thanks for reading guys, and as always, Happy Simming!!

  • @CeCeDot Oh my gosh, yes!! These need to happen. I've built a "seance" themed room in my "witch" Sim's house, and all I'm missing is the self-employed aspect, so that she can run her business in home while taking care of her son, Onyx. She also has a small shop where she sells floral arrangements, at which I pretend their enchanted, so I would love the crystals and gems aspect for the business as well!!

@MasonGamer Ok, seriously, YOU NEED TO BECOME A WRITER!! Holy cow, your storytelling is phenomenal!! I want to know more about the Werewolve's backstory, and I want to know what happens between Roxanne and Caleb!! You are truly artistic and enthralling in the way you write. You're gifted!!

Also, I totally agree on the wands!! I think Sims should be able to cast by hand, unless the spell requires a wand, as you stated above, for more powerful spells.
  • Yep, modern witches sometimes use wands to perform spells. And if it is a certain type of crystal they use it to cleanse their equipment! Another thing to do with crystals, turn them into wands to you have a boost in certain spell types! Like rose quartz give a boost with love spells, if you clean your divination equipment with an amethyst wand your predictions get more accurate, etc
  • Yeah, I got a lot of inspiration from TV shows, and other video games.
the original story began in 2013.
While waiting for a Sorcerers and Werewolves GP, I had some time to really plot and write out the story.

That's mostly Caleb's Story, Roxanne (Roxie) branches from a whole other story on her own.

She was actually born a Princess, Stella Delre.
Her Father King Henry, and Mother Queen Cora. Another Realm, a frozen in time kingdom, where magic and Modern technology clash. (Ancient Egypt/Greek, Medieval Europe, and Industrial Revolution Steampunk themes)

Stella grew up as her father's daughter, she mirrored him in so many ways, They bonded over many things, and her wish was his command. That was until Her father died and the crown went to her mother, Cora. After the loss of Her Husband Cora's Nature changed, she became bitter, her heart disappeared she turned to Magic, she leached for more power, more than being Queen could ever get her, all in the name to secure her daughter's rule. Of course Stella never wanted to be Queen, my sim-mother Julia talked her out of it. Which infuriated the Queen, with my sim-grandfather's help they created a portal to another realm, to escape her wrath.

In 1970, a portal opened off the highway entering Briarwood. with the skyline in the distance, the two girls made their way into town. Julia, quickly learned the ropes of the new world they were in, and used her magic to help them blend in, they created identities for themselves, which was easy enough, because Supernaturals lingered in Briarwood, and the chief of Police arrived at their apartment door one morning to investigate their sudden appearance, and "how their records, very cleverly, appeared." Sensing Chief Xavier odd warm Welcome to Briarwood Julia felt Xavier had his secrets.
"I've been playing this game for a long time, make no mistake, you're not the first to come to seek a new beginning."

Chief Xavier and his wife are supernaturals, of Native American Tribes, whom have inhabited the land before Adam and Diane purchased the land. Xavier was of the Tribe, so he named first Chief of Police of Briarwood, for some reason no-one questions the fact he doesn't age or die.

So Stella Delre takes on the a new name Roxanne "Roxie" Hart B) and Julia Castor become Julia Fiore.

Roxie finds a Job at City Hall as Front Desk Secretary, and years later Caleb happens.

As She helps Caleb regain his humanity, which is a slow transition, they also Rebuild Jordan Mansion and then some, modernizing it and upgrading it.

She chooses to become a stay at home mom after Having triplets: Aiden, Cain & Wren.
about a Year Passes and they have twins: Orion & Zane.
God bless his heart, Tyrone was the one, Caleb and Roxie went out One Night, Had three too many shots, Slipped and what had happened was!

Caleb is the proud and happy father Six werewolf sons. However no one anticipated of HER return. (Except me)

One night When everyone went up to bed, there was a Knock at the door.
To Roxanne's Surprise, Cora located her. And to Cora's distaste she was now a mother in law to a werewolf, and grandmother to 6 werewolves.

Roxanne tries to welcome Cora back into her life.
Caleb and Tyron Especially don't like Cora, and she always shows up regularly on a full moon which makes matters agonizingly worse.

However, Everyone is under the impression Cora lost her magic do to her treasonous deeds against her own Kingdom and was banished. Why Is she in town? I can't say! >:)
  • @CeCeDot I have a good friend who has an entire room filled with a ton of different crystals. She uses them for different things, even filters her drinking water through a pitcher with a certain gem in it. She's married to this guy who I got to take care of (I'm a nurse) and he's Native American, and apart of the Wintun tribe, and I was privileged to take care of him in his home on the reservation for the tribe. They both taught me a lot about their religions and cultures. His more closely resembles Christianity, and she practices what she called "generational faith".

    Super cool stuff, tho!!
  • @MasonGamer You've been writing it since 2013?? That's seriously amazing dedication, and it truly shows in your storytelling!! I loved the little excerpt I read!!

Don't ever give that up, you have incredible talent.
