Yep, modern witches sometimes use wands to perform spells. And if it is a certain type of crystal they use it to cleanse their equipment! Another thing to do with crystals, turn them into wands to you have a boost in certain spell types! Like rose quartz give a boost with love spells, if you clean your divination equipment with an amethyst wand your predictions get more accurate, etc
