TL;DR: Unlock worlds Granite Falls / Salvadorada for sims to live in. Give basegame the lot type "Rental" and allow any world with a "Rental" lot to be vacationed in. It really bothers me you cant...

If you have Spas and tents you can stay for a long time in Sulani. Just install a Spa and add a bedroom and better kitchen to it or put a tent in the Sim's inventory and you can stay on a beach. I send my Sims away there for a weekend and you don't have to pay rental either!
