@monicarivast the way you choose your Heirs is entirely your choice. If you choose to keep your founder alive for the full 6 generations he/she can remain heir for the length of the challenge. Or feel free to use @pinstars succession laws from the official legacy challenge http://www.simslegacychallenge.com/sims-4-legacy-challenge-rules-succession-laws/
