I love creating cultures and worldbuilding, including within the Sims. I'm feeling like I'm doing that slowly through Kass's story and gradually pushing past the boundaries of EA-created culture just because it's fun, but also to stretch myself as a writer.
So! Red-letter day for me, @AdamsEve1231 ! This morning, I caught up on Kass's story! (Well, pt. 2, that is!) I've been reading on my nook, which means I haven't been commenting. I also find that in my reading experience, sometimes I like not commenting as I read: it helps me store and build on ideas! Also, as I learn more about the characters and the stories, a lot of the comments I might have made early on become irrelevant. I also like not commenting because it allows reading to be a process--fluid and unfixed, whereas commenting (for me) tends to fix my perceptions.
So... I've been thinking about your story for a long time now. Just this afternoon, I was thinking that the world building is one of the aspects I love the most. All the rich lore from Sims is there--plus more. You've built upon this in a realistic and rich way. I also love all of the side characters, who all seem to have pasts and lives, even when we aren't directly shown them. That's a real strength!
