It was dinnertime at the Tremaine residence.

Cindy was enjoying a pleasant conversation with her father.

Cindy hadn't the time to get to know this madam in the past, so she graciously stole the opportunity.

The Madam was so tender and loving in the way she spoke. It was appealing.

Lord expressed concern over Cindy's viewpoint of his fiancée. After all the woman would soon take the role as her stepmother.

Cindy thought it was so sweet of him to inquire! But her father needn't worry, for anyone who made him happy makes her happy as well.

Meanwhile while Cindy and her father continued their heart-to-heart inside, a sinister heart set into motion outside their warm doors.

It was the morning of her father's wedding. Cindy got up early to make him a special breakfast.

After what felt like a lifetime the house alarm finally ceased its ringing. The fire must have died out.

All was silent until Anastasia shattered the calm with a deafening shriek.

Cindy rushed over to see what was distressing her.

And she could not believe her eyes...

"NOOO!!! This... this can't be happening!!"

Lord Tremaine, her father, was dead. His body lay lifeless next to ashes.

The realization of his death sunk in differently for everyone. While most mourned, one wicked woman looked on with a smile on her face.

All of the lord's riches would undoubtedly fall to her. No longer would she need to worry about her daughters' futures.

And most importantly, no longer would she have to pretend to care for that wretched Cinderella.

The girls continued to mourn all through the night as their mother collected the ashes.

Okay, fine. Maybe she did cause the fire, but she wasn't trying to kill anyone! She was planning on blaming Cinderella for it, and hoping that their parents would punish her when she was suppose to be enjoying this family vacation.
