The Forgotten Childhood Challenge

I'm not sure if I created this challenge or not, but I've been playing it and it's rather fun and interesting. There might be something similar to it already, but here it is.

The Forgotten Childhood Challenge - Sims 4

Story Premise:
Your Sim wakes up one day with no memory of their past. They are an adult but have the mind and skills of a child. With no family, no home, and no identity, they must rediscover who they are while surviving in a world that doesn’t recognize them. Can they piece together their forgotten past and build a future?

Rules & Goals

Starting Out:

  1. Create a single Sim (Young Adult or Adult).
  2. Give them childlike features and outfits (bright colors, overalls, fun hairstyles).
  3. Give them the “Childish” and “Clumsy” traits—they struggle with adult responsibilities.
  4. Move them to an empty lot and set their money to §0 (money 0).
  5. They cannot remember how to do anything—they must start with no skills, no career, and no relationships.

The Forgotten Childhood Rules:

  • Your Sim must relearn everything from scratch.
    • They cannot get a job until they reach level 5 in any skill.
    • They can only make money through odd jobs, collecting, and asking for help.
  • They can only eat child-like foods (grilled cheese, animal crackers, cereal, etc.) until they "mature."
  • They must befriend at least three children before making adult friends.
  • They cannot live in a proper house until they have at least §10,000.
  • Every week, they must roll a die to determine if they remember something about their past:
    • 1-2: Nothing. They remain lost.
    • 3-4: A small breakthrough—gain one random skill point.
    • 5-6: A major memory returns—unlock a new career or aspiration.

Stages of the Forgotten Life Journey:

Phase 1: The Lost Soul

Goal: Survive while trying to understand the world.

  • Your Sim must sleep in public spaces (benches, gyms, parks).
  • They must make one best friend who helps them (could be a child or a kind adult).
  • They must reach level 5 in Creativity or Motor skill before they can get a real job.

Unlocks:

  • Once they earn §5,000, they can rent a small room.

Phase 2: The Search for Identity

Goal: Discover their forgotten past.

  • Your Sim must choose an aspiration based on their personality.
  • They must befriend an elder Sim, who acts as a guide.
  • They must try three different careers before settling on one.
  • They must complete a "memory quest" (travel to three different worlds, talking to NPCs and exploring).

Unlocks:

  • A full house and access to normal food.

Phase 3: The Truth Revealed

Goal: Decide their fate.

  • Your Sim must choose one of two endings:
    • Reclaim their lost identity:
      • They must find "family" (create a sibling, adopt, or befriend an elder who acts as a parent).
      • They must max out a career and settle into a stable life.
    • Start a new life:
      • They must change their name and create an entirely new persona.
      • They must move to a new world and start a new legacy.

Win Condition:

  • If they reclaim their identity: Have a family and a successful career.
  • If they start a new life: Build a home worth §50,000 and complete a creative aspiration.

Extra Challenges (Optional Rules):

  • Hard Mode: Your Sim cannot have a job until they reach level 10 in a childlike skill (Violin, Painting, Video Gaming).
  • Mystery Mode: Your Sim must follow a randomly generated backstory (e.g., former royalty, time traveler, lost twin).
  • Tragic Mode: Your Sim must experience one major loss (best friend dies, loses everything, etc.) before they can "heal."
