“Just like father, of course! I know he’s strict, but he’s a great king, and I’m going to be just like him. Did you know that we haven’t had a famine in almost five years? Father did that. And he’s always arresting criminals, too. When I’m king, I’m going to rule just like he did, so he can be proud of me.”

“Yeah, I guess so. I thought that you had to be able to do anything as the king, but I guess that’s too hard for anyone. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t excel in everything, you know. I just have to be picky about what I choose to be good at. I can already carve proper shapes. Morgana’s birthday is in another month or so, and I’m going to try and carve a dragon for her. I know I can do it. It’s not hard. This’ll be a piece of cake. I think I just have a natural talent for it, like sword fighting.”
“…You do realize I’m the Watcher, don’t you? I’ve seen you in your room at night. You’re practicing until your hands bleed.”

“What do you mean? Peasants aren’t free. They have to work the fields for us, or make things, or work as servants in the castle if they can talk proper. Father turns a lot of them into soldiers, too. They can’t do whatever they want. I can do a lot more than they can. No, if I wanted to be totally free, I’d just switch places with Morgana.”

“Well, yeah. I can do a lot, but father still forces me to study and train because I’m going to be king someday. He never lets me do whatever I want all the time. But she’s the princess, so she doesn’t have to do anything. And father lets her do whatever she wants. She can just play cards with him all the time, or take walks, or whatever it is she does all day.”
“You don’t think Morgana has restrictions?”
