Thank you for asking! ☺️ My life sort of turned Topsy Turvy around the time I put this story on hold. I needed to spend the little energy I had left on managing other creative projects and I’ve been super busy ever since. That said…. I will get back to it as soon as I’ve reconstructed the story world ; Unfortunately I was forced to delete a bunch of corrupted save files -including this one - but starting with a clean slate will actually help me reconnect with the characters. They’re all still alive and well by the way and I’m looking forward to sharing more chapters with you all soon-ish!

Also, reading through the story again,I realized that this entire ordeal started off as a 1 baby challenge. I’d forgotten. The challenge was that I would raise Willow from toddler to young adult without cheating or hopping to another save. I confess, I absolutely failed. I failed so, so hard. Not my fault Werewolves was released around a time that I desperately needed Werebeasts in my game.
This is why I don’t do these kind of baby/ family challenges. It’s just not my thing. I’m a busy guy and I only want to have fun. ? To keep a story going that includes heaps of edited screenshots is challenging enough, but it’s also a lot more enjoyable when I can just focus on telling the story, which is in fact, almost done, at least in my head.
Anyways, my next post will be a chapter. No more of my nonsense. ??
Happy that you are planning to continue the story as I need to know what happens next! Really enjoyed the story thus far but understand that real life often interferes with sim plans. Sorry to hear about the corrupted files. I have trouble finding time to just play, and can only imagine how much time a story like this takes to put together. Looking forward to the next installment! I enjoy reading and the creative stories from simmers are awesome to read!
Hey! I just read all of this and really enjoyed it, it's so atmospheric and I have to say that I'm a real sucker for ghostly stuff - the hall and the general atmosphere reminds me so much of this big creepy haunted house not too far from where I was raised in the South East of Ireland.
Very cool to see another person here from Eire, I have to say. We're a rare few on the sims forums!!
Okidoki, no chapter just yet, but most likely in a couple of days. I re-built my storyworlds so at least I'll be able to pick up where I left off.

The country mansion that The Hall is based on is situated in the South East and lives on Hook Peninsula, County Wexford. The house is called Loftus Hall and it's undoubtedly one of our most revered national treasures of creepiness. Are we talking about the same house here? We probably are, although in fairness, every auld mansion and castle around here seems to be haunted, although I will never not be surprised about that. :D
@CAPTAIN_NXR7 haha bonkers! That’s the house I was thinking of! Knowing what it is, you’ve done a fabulous job of creating it in sims. I didn’t even know you were Irish when I began to read it and was struck by how much the build reminded me of Loftus Hall, it’s brilliant, you have some mean building skills.
I visited that house dozens of times when it was still open to the public, I’d take friends in for their Halloween seances and all of that spooky stuff, and it was fun but there’s something really eerie about it, the entire peninsula and how it’s so stark and bare, shrouded in sea mist all of the time. I once took a kayak out from Dollar Bay and saw the hall looming up on the cliff and it gave me a shiver down my spine from even that distance. I’d say the whole bloody peninsula is riddled with ghosts.
All this to say that you’ve captured that specific feeling for me with your story haha. & true, they’ll say everything has a ghoul in it here as long as it’s old enough

I envy you to be honest, I never got a chance to visit the house in my teens with my own Scooby Doo gang, I’ve never actually been inside the house physically! I had plans to visit the mansion for a project, right before Covid struck and we had to deal with all the lockdowns. The lucky thing was that the back then owner was kind enough to offer virtual access to the house via detailed 360 scans of most of the interior, which I studied extensively whilst building the structure in the sims. Obviously due to build mode limitations and the fact that the scan was somewhat incomplete, it’s impossible to create an accurate replica, but sure look, it works for storytelling purposes! Always a good reason to exercise our artistic licenses haha!
You’re very right, the entire peninsula can get very creepy, but in my opinion that’s also what makes it so hauntingly beautiful and I’m all for the latter! I can really relate to the the feeling that you describe when watching the house from Dollar Bay. I used to visit Dunmore East a lot and even from the smaller coves there the big house on the cliff (which is absolutely miles away) stands out like this threatening beast. The strange thing is that, on foggy days it still somehow manages to make itself visible from that distance. I’m getting carried away here…
Apparently they’re trying to turn the house into a hotel again as a means to banish the ghosts…man, all I gotta say is Good Luck with that lads. ?
