Update: I still can't log into the game on the launcher or download content from the site (even though I can stay logged in now). I've contacted EA support twice and they have been moderately helpful. I managed to fix my gaming issue on my desktop (thanks to the spouse) and my laptop is up to speed (although I feel like that's an oxymoron since it's about 1/4 of the speed of my desktop). I'm hoping the issues resolve with time since everything else has at this point.
I managed to find save files on my old laptop and transferred them to the new laptop. I have some ideas about revamping previous stories since I thought I'd lost all my content (like the Bella Goth story - especially since it's relevant in my current KFLL) I located Bella Goth story files and my Moments in Mayfield, Quakesword Legacy, and even Rainbow of Wishes in my SimBin on my old laptop somehow miraculously... they reappeared. A blessing in disguise! However, my top priority is going to be fixing up Kass's story and hopefully salvaging through relocation Gage's Summer of Love.
I haven't abandoned Colt Family Traitacy either, but I still have access to Twinbrook so I should be able to continue that series.
It's just been one long pain in the rear to redo and reset up and redownload everything. I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel, and finding old save files was like finding gold. :)
Sounds like it's helped provide some energy for re-organizing, too--so in a way, that breathes fresh life! So thankful you found old saves. And good luck moving forward!
