Hmmm.... Well, romance can find a person anywhere, anytime! I met my boyfriend at a pizza party that I went to hoping to see somebody else (who didn't show up) and he went to it hoping to talk with the girl who threw the party (who was busy starting and then putting out a kitchen fire while baking the pizza!), so we ended up talking with each other... and that was ages ago, and we're still talking!
The point is... you can meet new people anywhere, and you never know when you might meet someone who can be a friend for life!
Some of my favorite places to meet people are the library, a coffee shop, or the food co-op.
I met @rednenemon entirely through simming (on Tumblr but shhhh), so anyone in this community who's tired of being single could be halfway there. ;)
I don't have much useful real-life advice though. I met most of the friends in meatspace I have through school (which I graduated from) and my job (which I no longer have).
