First Life
Did I make a mistake? Geoffrey is okay as a father, but he has to go to work, so I'm dependent on Nancy and even evil Malcolm for everything.
Incidentally, don't fret too much about how I, an infant, am managing to write this. I communicate my feelings to the Watcher, who also takes care of things like providing furniture and making Geoffrey get my will out of the mailbox and read it aloud.
Enigma has joined me. She has her cat tree here in the nursery, and I can smile at her. I hope the Landgraabs remember to feed her and clean her little box.
I've learned a little more about myself. Besides being cautious and frequently sneezing, I am also a picky eater who loves being held. The Watcher put a rocking chair in the nursery so that I could get more cuddles.
For a while, Enigma was the only creature in the household who spent any time with me.

And then Enigma ran away. I could hardly blame her. Although she could eat from leftovers (sometimes spoiled), her litter box was a disgrace.
Still her going saddened everyone. Nancy and Malcolm both picked up the gloomy trait. Geoffrey's way of dealing with grief (perhaps for my previous self?) moved from holding it together to anger. The Watcher had to intervene again, getting Malcolm to clean the litter box and post an online alert about a missing pet. Enigma returned and found a new litter box, the self-cleaning kind. But she needs brushing, which she probably won't get from anyone. I try to keep her happy by cooing and babbling at her. I'll be able to hug her when I become a toddler.
Toddlerhood is approaching, but I doubt I'll have any motor skills except the ability to put my foot in my mouth. No one does tummy time with me, so I can't even roll over, let alone sit up. But I did achieve one milestone: I peed on Malcolm when he was changing my diaper.
