The Merfolk of the Sulani Seas Legacy ChallengeThis is a legacy challenge I created and tested on the console. It's also something I want to use to focus my own story. My story well be subjected to the rules my merfolk live by so this challenge won't be followed exactly in my own story. I wanted to share it because it's definitely worth giving a try. Should be noted that mods are not required for this challenge.The spirit of this challenge is to try different packs that compliment merfolk gameplay. You can play the entire challenge with your founder, building off of the progress you've made, or rotate between different households. It's possible to even progress through this challenge like a normal legacy. This challenge was designed to be challenging but flexible with different playstyles. Merfolk are at the heart of the challenge though.Spoiler (Highlight to read)General Rules Spoiler (Highlight to read)Each Generation of the Legacy will be its own rotation. Auto-Aging must be turned off.The Heirs and Founders will not die from Old Age, but Death will not be turned offThe Founder and 7 Heirs will need to be created from the startEach Founder and Heir will be a Mermaid or Merman with a specific Tail Color. There should be a total of 8 Merfolk for the challenge with the founder and blue tail having two parts. There should be Two Blue Tail Heirs. The number of merfolk is important because the Founder will be creating a Club to recruit the other 7 Heirs.The tails colors and the tail colors that have 2 rotations can be any color, but keep in @DaniRose2143 Alex is now his own character. His name will be Alex Zalrian, and instead of Alexander Goth being reborn as a merman and adopted by the Zalrian Pod, he’s actually Calum and Arihi’s Eldest Son born under the sea.There will be many similarities to the old story, but Alex is a new character. I also have a different plot in mind for the first arc of the story.I’ve been meaning to ask @Ellupelluellu some things about their Cassandra Goth and Bella Goth because they had a post involving them that hinted back to my original story’s beginning.However, I do plan on having Alexander Goth and Mortimer Goth appear in my story.Damion might also be a little different because of Camilo’s presence in the story.As for what @Ellupelluellu teased was the sudden disappearance of both Alexander and Mortimer during their trip to Sulani. Most who go to him know that he never undoes his magic once a spell has been cast. He’s possessive by nature and the Voice of a Merman or Mermaid is no exception. A deal with him carries the weight of permanence. Most go to him expecting to not get back what they lose.Camilo is known among humans as a terror from the deep that preys on human greed and desire. Humans deal with Camilo because he did what Damion would never do. Camilo sacrificed his ability to love so that he could take human form and grew much colder than Damion ever will be because of this. Like Damion, Camilo is a Natural-Born Merman that must sacrifice either his voice, love, or youth to walk among humans. He chose to give up his ability to love to go on land.Because Damion still has his youth, voice, and ability to love, he is a sea witch that can only traverse the sea or underwater. Damion will never appear on land in a human form. And he’s fine with that, he fell in love with Caleb close to the ocean shore, but he never did anything that would allow him to go on land. Damion is also the one that made Caleb a Reborn Merman after an accident with sunlight. Maybe a bad beach day or something. Regardless, Damion is not a fan of humans and isn’t interested in dealing with them. He will deal with the denizens of the sea though.As a Reborn Merman, Caleb can no longer take human form without the same magic from a sea witch. Damion will never appear on land in a human form. And he’s fine with that, he fell in love with Caleb close to the ocean shore, but he never did anything that would allow him to go on land. Damion is also the one that made Caleb a Reborn Merman after an accident with sunlight. Maybe a bad beach day or something. Regardless, Damion is not a fan of humans and isn’t interested in dealing with them. He will deal with the denizens of the sea though.As a Reborn Merman, Caleb can no longer take human form without the same magic from a sea witch. Caleb is the Patriarch of his pod.This story will be similar but it will also be different.Ember and Alex are still a cute couple.

After creating the 7 Mermen that will maintain the peace in the sea, I think I made my decision for the future of the story.Each one of these mermen will have a special spot in the story. I tried to represent the LGBT community and different ethnicities in each merman.From Left to Right:Damion Vatore (Purple Tail), Anas Mahi'Ai (Green Tail), Rio Marus (Orange Tail), Alex Zalrian (Blue Tail), Hawea Savea (Yellow Tail), Fin Aquarus (Pink Tail), Akira Ningyo (Red Tail).Damion Vatore and Alex Zalrian will probably be the 2 that my followers will know best. They both represent White Non-Hispanic.Anas Mahi'Ai will be Nalani Mahi'Ai's Brother and will represent the Pacific Island Culture that Nalani Comes from.Rio Marus represents the Hispanic Culture.Hawea Savea will represent Carribean-African Cultures.Fin Aquarus will represent the LGBT community alongside Damion. Dylan Zalrian is Bi, but he does seem to have had a history of seeking out a male partner. Fin Aquarus is gay and might be a good partner for Dylan. He represents the Irish/ Scotish cultures.Akira Ningyo represents the Japanese culture.Again, each one of these mermen will have a special story arc. Some are a bit farther out than I can clearly forsee, but each one of them will be in the story.Seeing this new tail from Spinning Plumbob, I've been particularly inspired. My plan is to retake screenshots for Chapter 1 so that I can continue the story with the Neverland Tails. The Merfolk of the Sulani Seas Legacy Challenge
This is a legacy challenge I created and tested on the console. It's also something I want to use to focus my own story. My story well be subjected to the rules my merfolk live by so this challenge won't be followed exactly in my own story. I wanted to share it because it's definitely worth giving a try. Should be noted that mods are not required for this challenge.
The spirit of this challenge is to try different packs that compliment merfolk gameplay. You can play the entire challenge with your founder, building off of the progress you've made, or rotate between different households. It's possible to even progress through this challenge like a normal legacy.
This challenge was designed to be challenging but flexible with different playstyles. Merfolk are at the heart of the challenge though.

General Rules

Each Generation of the Legacy will be its own rotation. Auto-Aging must be turned off.
The Heirs and Founders will not die from Old Age, but Death will not be turned off
The Founder and 7 Heirs will need to be created from the start
Each Founder and Heir will be a Mermaid or Merman with a specific Tail Color. There should be a total of 8 Merfolk for the challenge with the founder and blue tail having two parts. There should be Two Blue Tail Heirs. The number of merfolk is important because the Founder will be creating a Club to recruit the other 7 Heirs.
The tails colors and the tail colors that have 2 rotations can be any color, but keep in mind that tail color will impact parts of the challenge.

I am hoping to have my first story update done today, but I don't have an exact eta. Gathering all the info for this thread took more time than I expected. I'll share the next chapter or a link to the next chapter here when it's done.
For now, I just wanted to share some of my own ideas with merfolk so people could see them, and hopefully, get inspired.

I apologize for the delay. I finally have all the screenshots I need for the first chapter… took an additional 100 screenshots, give or take. 😅 I got some interactions between Ukupanipo and Alex that turned out better than the original. Hard to say what got a different reaction because I used the same interactions. With the magic of cheats I did add a character value trait to Ukupanipo that allowed me to replicate the original reactions from the original interactions.

I also made an update to Arihi’s Character Bio. Most of it is the same, but I did add a detail stating that she has a similar immortality to natural-born merfolk…

Story cannon wise, she’s an Elemental Spirit of the Ocean turned into a half-mermaid, and that’s why she’s got eternal youth immortality.
But, my personal reason for that is I didn’t want her growing into an elder. She’s the mother of the twins, my favorite MerSims… I know Dylan and Zeph can be quite a handful and I wanted her to stay an active part of their lives. I felt like aging her up to being an elder would have slowed her down too much.
When I started this thread, I encountered a limit on the number of characters I can put in a single post. Consequently, I had to break up the original post into 3.

Eventually, I plan on transferring the story into the new forums if possible.
Edit: I edited some details for Half-Merfolk for continuity reasons. So it should align with Arihi’s circumstances.

Sorry about the delays. I was hoping to find a way to upload all my pictures to the forum in advance of writing the chapter. Given the tool bar for posts, I felt like that would be the easiest approach. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find a way to upload the images like that.
Additionally, I’ve had to make time for recovery since I caught an upper respiratory cold. I’m well on my way to recovery.
I plan on getting 2 more chapters uploaded before the end of the month.
