The Performing Arts
I mostly want to talk about performing arts topics. The two topics I have been thinking of and want to dedicate more attention to is Dance and Music. To be fare, I don't have all the expansions and packs. So, this is what I understand of the game (so far). I'm just excited and eager to share.
Dance: I just want to see more variety in the dance category. Ballet, Ballroom Dancing, Country Style Dances and Slow Dances for couples. But, I would also like to see more modern style dances and more cultural style dances included. Dance is how we celebrate and express ourselves through movement. It's as natural to us as breathing. Nothing is more beautiful to me, then see people of all walks of life dancing and feeling free. Dancing is just the way you feel music and how you want to express that feeling. I love seeing people dance around the May Pole during late spring. I want to see people tribal dancing. Should it be broke down into small kits or one big pack dedicated to dancing. Maybe call it the Dance Studio pack, Idk. The more variety of dance, the better. What about forming Dance Teams and Cheerleading Squads for Teens. Okay, this not dance. But, it came to mind as I was typing this. So, I'm just going to suggest it. Gymnastics as an athletic activity. Discuss!
But, what is dance with out music? When I turn on the radio, why can't I find rock n roll or heavy metal? What about Reggae music? If you have any music suggestions, feel free to suggest. That's just what came to my head atm. I'm sure I'll think of more later. In Sim 3 we used to form bands. I had a family that used to perform together. I really enjoyed that? Is that coming later in another pack or did they just take that out too? I thought it was a great way for Sims to socialize.
I don't have Get Famous yet. But, it seems to be focused mostly on acting. I think that is great. But, what about music concerts, opera and dance performances? I would like to see Sims 4 expand on what was brought in Sims 3. Bring in more instruments. Let our Sims form bands and choirs. Allow Sims to hire music performers to their wedding, parties and other special gatherings. It would be fun in Get Together, to practice with your band, choir or dance group. Maybe Sims could open their own dance studio and teach ballroom dancing to other Sims.
I also just want to stress these little suggestions. Leg warmers, leotards, sweat bands and tutus. Discuss amongst yourselves boys and girls! (adjust glasses with my huge solon manicured nails).
