The vampire in that film lived in an abandoned house in Detroit, which made me think of the wire fencing and overgrown grass and the construction zone barriers you have around your house. Both actually look as though they haven’t been used in a long time, prefect for driving suspicious humans away and giving the vampires a great hide-out.
