The Scions of Elesia - Inspired by the Sims Amazon Challenge (3rd times the charm ... I hope)

The Scions of Elesia


Orithyia, the daughter of an Amazon Queen, with a mysterious past arrives in a new land accompanied by a tribal son and a foundling child. Alone in the world, save for these two, she has to face the challenges of forming a new tribe in a place where little is known about her people and deal with the local clans who have long called the place home. Can she succeed in accomplishing her goals and in bringing honor and glory to the Goddess whom she serves?

Inspired by the Sims 4 Amazon Challenge, this is the tale of a young woman who sets off to achieve the near impossible. Can friends, family and loved ones along the way help her become the great queen she is worthy of becoming?

Well here I go, trying for the third time to get this show on the road. This time, I've decided on Henford-on-Bagley as the location because it's got enough 'wilderness' to look more ancient. I've got some pretty good backstory planned. Should be fun! Hoping I can actually write more, and have some ways of trying to keep the flow going so that I can proceed forwards with the plot. While Orithyia is the main charactyer, there would be enough interaction on the side so that it's not entirely about her.

    I absolutely adored this chapter, from the hints about the past to Anthizei and the wolf pup - so cute, both of them, and both of them foundlings! Also, I love the interactions between Thyrsos and Orithyia, they were hilarious with him wailing about the house being haunted! I can see why she lost patience with him, but I also can't wait to see how this little tribe will grow!

    Glad you liked it! I thought there's a bit of mystery to work into the story that will carry over through the next couple of chapters, and eventually the entire truth will come out as to why Orithyia ended up in a new place -- just to be a bit different from what's been done before. I love Thyrsos as a character, I'm hardly doing anything to him and he's got all sorts of emotions all over the place. His little moment of snark about wolves was totally random and just showed up in the screenshot so I had to figure out how to work that in. And Anthizei and BabyWolf (who gets a name next chapter) make my ickle heart melt the more I get to see them.


    BTW, if you ever get a banner made, lemme know and I'll add it in with the others.

    I'm not sure how to make a banner, but I've been wanting to ask @MrsRacooney how to make one!

    Edit: Made one! It's not the best but I'm proud of it!

    Oh man, I wonder why Orithya left... It seems like there was an accident. Did they make her go, didn't she face her tribal sisters at all or has she fled from punishment? It seems like it wasn't all on purpose.

    Wooow, that's what I call luck the Goddess' guidance. A wolf, once grown, could prove very useful when strangers come by. And how nice of those unknown people to build a home for Orithya! Very neat

    You must make a banner one day, too, so I can post it with the others :p

    Well, it might not be the best but it's definitely not the worst either, by far :smiley: On that occasion, I just realized I had put a pic of Molpe in the banner's stead for your story :joy:

    Well, he had to carry her. And feed her. But he got it together. Thyrsos is good boi.

    Convenient in'nt it? :D They'd never have gotten something that nice within a millennia or whatever if it was Thyrsos building it. Haimon he is not. (thankfully) More hints and easter eggs to come. Sometime. Whenever. ?‍♀️ In the meantime, all a wolf pup can do is chew things. And pee on the floor. ;)

    Lol! Aaaah, the times when I didn't think about internal or just general logic within the story... :p Haimon truly was a master builder and no one can compare to him in that regard :joy:

    Orithyia trusts Thyrsos a lot. On the other hand, why wouldn't she? Obviously, he's faring pretty well with her so there's no reason to run. I think he will appreciate the way alone (unless there's wolves). So many breaks he can take with no one scolding him!
    I'm even more intrigued by the accident now... It looked like someone (her mother? Her sister? A friend?) was hit by a stone but why would they see the fault with Orithyia, then? There must be more to it.
    Nice touch sparing the fathers of daughters, btw. It's true that you can only follow the rules entirely if you have an outside supply of men. On a rocky island, that would lead to extinction of the tribe to some point otherwise (plus, think of all the work force lost forever! :s )

    Haimon probably had help from the same aliens that built the pyramids, Stonehenge and Nan Madal, didn't he? :D :D :D (if there's ever a time i want to waste 5 minutes -- because that's only as far as i ever get before I start giggling madly -- of my life, I'd just fire up "Chariots of the Gods")

    Thyrsos is a good cookie. He's lazy. But a good boy the way a tribal son ought to be. Besides, there's lions and wolves and bears, oh my! out in the woods. He's got it pretty cushy right where he is

    Sons. Sons. Besides, I looooooved the Nightbrother enclave from Clone Wars and wanted to work it into the plot somehow, it gave us such wonderful fellows like Maul and Savage (who gets double goodness because Clancy Brown/The Kurgan was his voice actor) *nerds out way too much*
