@mn84evr I agree with @EuphorialQueen, adding items needed to complete an aspiration or a career task is allowed in this challenge. The creator confirmed this somewhere in the thread, I can't find it though. I think what you did was fine, I did exactly what you did in my last play-through for this challenge. My Sim had the Body Builder aspiration, but I'd neglected to put two fitness pieces in the asylum at the beginning. I bought and placed another piece of equipment and once the game recognized he had two, I sold it.
